I do hope so! I suggested making your mind up for a jive in the music thread last week!

The music for Anton and Fiona's rumba is an odd choice.

I think it's unusual but could work brilliantly as it has the "ooh, baby, baby, ooh, baby, baby" in the chorus that are very staccato.

Disturbia worked really well for Louis' tango, so I'm pretty positive about it.

Fiona's song seems a bit strange too - a little fast for a Rumba? Unless the band slow it down maybe like they did on 'Moves Like Jagger' for Dave's CCC?

Dave's Waltzing to Zoe Ball's song too.

You might be thinking of the wrong song there Alli - those lyrics are from 'Scream' rather than 'Yeah'.

True.

Think of it as Artem is going to have a unique take on the tango choreography. If he could pull off a contemporary-esque rumba while maintaining true to the essence of rumba then he could pull of a refreshing take on tango while keeping to all the tango basic figures. Can't wait to see what he and Natalie are going to do with this!

I just realised it was Scream I'm thinking of. That would have worked well too I think.

But i think Usher songs work well for tangoes as they can be very staccato. Im really looking forward to it and it's certainly cooler than most.

Here are the re-used songs (and who they were most recently used by) just to sum things up:

Spoiler
Ashley's Viennese Waltz to Angel by Sarah McLachlan - last used as a Waltz by Rachel Stevens and Audley Harrison
Patrick's Cha-Cha-Cha to Mercy by Duffy - last used by Andrew Castle.
Dave's Waltz to Take It To The Limit by The Eagles - last used by Zoe Ball and Peter Shilton.
Julien's Samba(?) to Spice Up Your Life by The Spice Girls - last used by Chelsee Healey and Mark Foster.
Susanna's Salsa(?) to Whenever, Wherever by Shakira - last used by Roger Black.
Ben's Salsa to Hard to Handle by Black Crowes - would have been used in the final by Jason Donovan.

I think that's it. It's not a bad week for recycling, actually...

Love the idea of finding Rasputin on that album with Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Usher. I'd like to see that concert

Wait a minute, wait a minute, WAIT a minute.

Natalie's now doing the Quickstep, according to ITT. A Quickstep to Usher.

Looks like Natalie's actually doing a Quickstep (from ITT training footage) so I'm guessing the song choice is wrong as well.

Also Luke: think Julien's doing a Salsa and Susanna the Samba (they mentioned double bounce for Susanna)

I don't see how they can have got the song choice wrong.

So the SLIGHTLY REVISED final list is as follows:
Abbey & Aljaz - Tango
Ashley & Ola - Viennese Waltz
Ben & Kristina - Salsa
Dave & Karen - Waltz
Deborah & Robin - Jive
Fiona & Anton - Rumba
Julien & Janette - Salsa
Mark & Iveta - Cha-Cha-Cha
Natalie & Artem - Quickstep
Patrick & Anya - Cha-Cha-Cha
Rachel & Pasha - Quickstep
Sophie & Brendan - Foxtrot
Susanna & Kevin - Samba

I was just going off the BBC's list (which was a schoolboy error to begin with...)

Yay all the styles and song choices being revealed. Excited for the show. But wow the majority of my favorites are doing ballroom styles this week, lol.

Put it this way - 'Yeah' is not a Quickstep song whatsoever. They'd have to seriously change the tempo of it - if they got the dance wrong then they might just have got the song wrong as well.

I think Natalie and Artemm may quickstep to oh yeah rather than yeah can see no way yeah will work as a WS whereas oh yeah is often used

Most of all I'm looking forward to Sophie and Brendan's foxtrot to Cheek to Cheek. It could be really beautiful.

Take a look at Usher singing Yeah on Dwts with pro-dancers including Artem.

Doesn't sound like the same song to me, but it could easily be a QS.

Rumba to Westlife 'world of our own'- how the heck!?

you are right it is sort of a quickstep rhythm but god help us the band and singers performing that

As a sidenote on song recycling, "Hard to Handle" is the music that would have been used for Jason & Kristina's salsa in the series 9 final had they not been eliminated before they could do it.

How many moves will she recycle from this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00mp3k1

My guess is she'll replace the arm section with another lift or four.

Christ on a Bike, that's terrible.

Judging by the brief snippet I overheard while my mum was watching ITT they're going to be dancing to this version.

I have a feeling this is going to be another one of Artem's "clever" and "original" bits of choreography that I'm absolutely going to hate (like Black Swan *shudder* and just about everything else he did with Holly)

Don't get me wrong, Artem's a good dancer and I like him as a person, but IMO he gets totally overpraised by both the show and some viewers for some ridiculous choreography that if any other pro produced they would be utterly derided for (Aliona, anyone? Nooo Yawk was no way worse than Black Swan, and better danced by the celeb, too).

He's also not the only one with questionable choreography, he's just the one who never seems to get picked up on it.
