ITV app not working on Samsung blu ray player

I have a Samsung blu ray player connected via ethernet to my 30meg Virgin broadband.

Everything works fine except the ITV app.

It take a while to load, selection of the show works fine but when you press Watch Now all we get is a black screen.

The ITV app works fine on my Nexus 7 tablet & a HTC One phone

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their Samsung blu ray player, Can anyone suggest a way forward.

Hi Tom, did you ever get a resolution for this? It seems some Samsung F-7000 series televisions also have the same problem.

I don't know who to email.

Didn't Samsung help ITV develop this app in return for the exclusive use of it for so many months?

I updated the Samsung firmware but the ITV app still won't work.

Hi Tom, I've heard from someone else who has this problem, and ITV wrote back to them to say that there are known issues with the F-7000 series and they are working on a resolution, but have no time scale for it.

A new firmware has come out and it may help, but I suspect not. In any case, the firmware has to officially be 1029.1 or higher.
