What a great thread! Thanks for starting it OP!

One of the joys of being a DW fan is that there are so many mysteries that remain to be resolved. How boring it must be to be a Star Trek fan, and be able to pick any one of a zillion episodes of your shelf at any time. I love being able to listen to soundtrack CDs of old DW and wonder "what if what if what if" ... and then the thrill of last week's announcement brings everything to,life once again.

The Rill photos were a big deal, a few years back.

However, it wasn't until Day of Armageddon turned up that we realised we'd got everything else wrong and everybody had changed appearance! We know that Sentreal and Warrien are in MttU but not in DoA, so they must be the big Christmas tree bloke and the other guy in the white spacesuit with the big hat, but that meant that the eggheaded bloke with no face, formerly known as Sentreal, must be Gearon...

It was all very confusing!”

DWM did a little article when Day of Armageddon appeared, showing the change in appearance of each of the delegates from one episode to the next. Only DW could do that.

They did.

And don't forget Chicki in The Macra Terror: two different scenes, two different actresses.

There's now about two pics of Cassandra, one with her lurking by the Tardis as Vicki and Troilus emote (I think). Lovely to see Miss Flood looking so melodramatic.

I am sure there must have been costume designs, set designs, floorplans, etc, but these things aren't necessarily kept once they've been used. Dom Issigri's room, in the Space Pirates, is another one lost to memory: no photos or drawings remain.

This is one oft he reasons why DW is so special. All this extra stuff waiting to be discovered.

I may be displaying my ignorance here, not having watched all of New-Who, but have the Ice Warriors been revisited since "Monster of Peladon"?
I think they're an interesting monster, because they were never out-and-out "evil". They were always displayed as having some intelligent motive for their actions. They fought and killed more out of the need for self-preservation than from a megalomanic lust for destruction. They could be reasoned with, up to a point.

An Ice Warrior returned in the episode Cold War in series 7 which IMO was pretty good

I thought it was a shame the Ice Warrior got its kit off ASAP and became just any-old CGI monster. They became ordinary.
