We've yet to see a Samba that has the wow factor
Out of all the seasons so far... I have yet to see a Samba that wows me.
I hate to go to DWTS, but this Samba by Elizabeth Berkley was incredible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75Q9nMH0dpk why can't strictly stars produce something like that? |

I couldn't get that link to work but I remember that Samba & loved it.
I wish some of our celebs would just go out & go for it a bit like this Samba from Kyle & Lacey. http://youtu.be/pCUJF7fSPZk |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDzzqqUlSvU ![]() I really can't think of a Strictly pro celeb samba I have loved. Zoe's was one of the better ones, but the bar is pretty low ![]() ETA: oops! Glanced at that YT clip and thought you'd posted Matt (Cutler) and Aliona's hip hop samba. Didn't love the one you posted after all. Sorry!

I've got high hopes for Nat's Samba (assuming she makes it that far)- although we've yet to see Artem choreograph a Samba, so it's something of an unknown territory for them.

Might be something to do with her dance background?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Berkley I thought this one was wow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDzzqqUlSvU http://youtu.be/F3QUKjJX8Lg Though Elizabeth and Val was very good but they have no connection and Kyle was great on dwts as he gave such much energy and life into every performance especially his Latin |

As much as I love Zoe, Denise's will always be my favourite female samba.

Jade & Ian's was great
(Perhaps, if we want more good samba the solutuion would be to bring back Ian...) |

Yeah I've never been wowed by a Pro/celeb Samba, but when it's been done Pro/Pro I've liked some of the numbers alot (because then the awkwardness doesn't exist as so often does when watching a celeb try and do it). It's the varying rhthms of the samba that confuse celebs, understandably. Some of the Pro/celeb ones have been ok but, GOOD or GREAT, I don't really recollect.

There have been a few great Sambas over the year
Zoe Ball Matt Baker Alesha Dixon Jill Halfpenny Claire Sweeney Jade Jones Zoe Lucker Gabby Logan The samba just tends to be 'forgotten' as it has generally never been the most memorable for most contestant, probably only Matt B and Zoe B where it was their best Latin. I hate how they always go on about the Samba being so difficult. Its the hardest technically but it's not THAT much harder than the rest. I think it genuinely give the contestants a mental barrier by bigging the difficulty up so much. There have been awesome ones on DWTS. |

Imo there needs to be a samba carnival party atmosphere when you see a samba routine and I didn't see that in that dance. And we have seen some amazing sambas at Strictly over the years : matt and Flav, alesha and matt, karen and mark, jade and Ian, matt and aliona, .....and so much more. |

Frankly it's just mincing about. What's there to like?
For me it's like salsa. To be performed and enjoyed. Not a spectator sport. |

I'm hoping Natalie and Artem attempt it and blow all the others out of the water.
