Adult Onesies

Have to admit after seeing Artem last night, took a look online and quite surprised to see a decent selection on eBay of adult onesies, even for men.

Sign of global warming?

A sign of clever marketing?

Onesies are fit for babies. Looking like an adult baby is not cool, on anyone.

They've been about for ages, someone was even trying to pitch customised versions of them to the Dragons in the Den.

I suppose they're all riight for students to slob around in, or for OAP's to keep warm. Suitable attire for watching daytime tv in other words.

I would worry about the practicality of them as much as anything.

I hated them and said I'd never have one....until I became pregnant and at 7 months it's lovely to not have anything too tight (including maternity pants) around my bump. However it will be going once the baby is here!

My mum calls them babygrows. In your case you seem to have taken that literally - clothes to grow a baby in.

I was under the impression they were quite popular in the UK/Australia/NewZ. At least compared to the U.S. and Canada.

They are hugely popular in the UK (at least down here in London). Primark regularly sells out - including Men's ones.

For me, the phrase adult onesie is an oxymoron.

I know they're incredibly popular but then so, for a short time was Lisa Riley. And I don't her making close contact with my skin either.

Racing drivers,WW2 British tank crew and modern fighter pilots all wore/wear one-piece outer suits.
It could be argued that fighting wars or driving in circles displays a certain lack of maturity, though.

Tell me about it, you have to get up early where I live to get a onesie in the colour of your choice.

A onesie would make me feel like a tellytubby, rather than just thinking like one

They weren't dressed as Tigger or lions though.
They look ridiculous on any adults.
A girl friend of my nephew actually attended an engagement party at a pub dressed in a lion onesie! It's a 'thing' she does apparently (she's at least 25!)

I have one. I wear it in the evening when it's a really cold Winter night. It's not particularly attractive but it's very warm and comfortable, and as I live alone there's no one to see me (except the cat, and she doesn't mind!).

Just had a thought about WWII, my Mum told me that people used to wear all in one suits for when they had to dash out to the air raid shelter in the middle of the night. They were called "siren suits"! Even Winston Churchill had one and I've seen photos of him wearing it. There's nothing new in the fashion world!

They are plush clean-room space suit really. Those who works in the clean-room with electronic silicon based products will understand what I am saying.

Or those painter overalls you wear over your normal clothes when painting. I am wearing one now because I am painting my house.
