Did Sharon make a mistake with Shelley?
Imo, she is nothing more than a pub singer and the whole 'wooo I'm so wacky' act has been done a million times before.
She's another belter but Sam B is far superior so I think she's toast. He wasn't my cup of tea but surely Joseph would have been a better choice for Sharon as he's different to her other 2 picks, would get the female vote and have a chance of staying for a good few weeks. Not really sure what Sharon was thinking with Shelley |

Maybe she was meant to be the 'joke' act this year.

Definitely Zoe or Joseph would've been way better. I don't understand how she thought Shelley would get votes.

Shelley is like a blonde Sammi Brookes
![]() Zoe would have been a better choice - more of a contrast to Lorna and Sam. Sharon turfed Katie off a chair because she was a 'belter' and Sharon felt she needed some variety, so gave the seat to Zoe. Then in her final selection she picks three belters

Sharon made her choices based on who could sing the best. Maybe this was naive and she should have chosen Joseph just because he's better looking and may attract a few more votes on that basis. However, isn't that exactly the sort if thing we've complained about for years? This is a singing contest and Sharon chose her contestants on the basis of their voices. We can't condemn her for that.

Yes I think she did but I wouldn't exchange her for Joseph though

It appears everyone apart from Sharon can see she's nothing more than a pub singer. As I said, Joseph isn't to my taste but I think he can sell records, which is something Shelley will never do. if not Joseph then either of the other 2 girls she sent home offered something a bit better than Shelley |

She has gone through as Sharon's sacrificial act.

Older's vote perhaps? A lot of granny's watch this show you know
I'm not sure grannies are that keen on wacky belters though. I would imagine they're far more likely to go for sweet looking sixteen year olds. |

Not really sure what Sharon was thinking with Shelley ![]() If Shelley is a "pub singer," then she's an awful lot better than many a pub singer I've heard.. For me, last night, she was note perfect and strong vocally. Firstly, that's all I ask, there was plenty of pitching issues with a number of performers last night, not least, Lorna, who was all over the shop. But, let's face it, Sharon O has never chosen a winner in any of her previous attempts..and yet, she's been touted as a would be "saviour," of the show.. I think all of the judges made bad choices..particularly Louis.. Rich.x |

It's supposed to be about finding a star and Shelley, with the best will in the world, has as much star quality as a cabbage.

Joseph had a very ordinary voice and he tried to make up for it with a toned body, edgy tattoos and a slightly worrying reliance on using his little son for sympathy.

The mistake was actually Sharon, not Shelley.
