Both pretty useless for a talent and singing show, but I think Frankie C would've given a better kiddy rock version of summer of 69.

Are you kidding? Sam was watchable- just not listenable.

Frankie was nothing. He wasn't even cute like Sam is.

I think Sam sounded good on Saturday, obviously in the studio the vocals must've been lacking but on the TV he sounded good. He had good stage presence too and seems nice.

I don't understand the Frankie comparison.

Couldn't disagree more.

Wankie Cocky-Loser, was a complete waste of space, air time and people's voting time and money.

He was a piss poor singer with a cod "bad attitude," that was only marginally less convincing than Cher Lloyd's and nothing to say for himself, either musically, or in interview, as he amply demonstrated when he turned up on the Wright Stuff a while back and could barely read the newspapers, let alone string a sentence together in order to be able to offer an opinion on them.

I've very little time for Sam C, apart from the fact that he's got a pretty good bod and looks better minus the gonky hair cut..but I'd bet a pound to a penny that he could, even with his average voice, hold a tune better than Cocozza..

I've pledged for Frankie's debut album and am pretty enthused by the demos so far, so predictably I'm in agreement with the second half of the thread title but can't buy into the first.

Absolutely. Frankie got through for no other reason than he flashed his tattooed arse. Crap wannabe indie band singer who they tried to pretend was the second coming of Pete Doherty.

Sam C can't sing very well but he seems a decent enough chap, looks rather pretty and doesn't appear to be a stranger to the en suite.

So why is he on the show?
Can't sing but seems ok and is good looking

Let's not get carried away. None of Frankie's five live show performances are like Sam's this week. Do you have an axe to grind with Sam C?

God, I'm really glad I missed that one yuk!

Mind you, his ass probably has more of note to say than the "other end!"

I love it when people come onto the X-Factor with "attitude," who do they think they're kidding?

It's all been done a 100x before and much better..

That said, even Johnny Rotten's sold out to the system, so why should they be any different..

Because Louis Walsh knows nothing about anything apart from bland boybands would be my guess.

Actually, like many who're acting trained, they both probably have pretty good voices and could hold their own and look good..

Well, Hugh Jackman does, anyway.

Don't have an axe to grind
Just don't know why every year someone with not enough singing ability to do well in a local pub karaoke night gets to showcase their lack of talent to a nation. And even worse why people spend money on voting for these talentless people

That's a more than fair point, but then, that's probably happened in most years.

For, example, last year, Rylan Clark?
I wouldn't want to go see him, not even in a karaoke..

Still, Louis Walsh could've been even more of a numbskull than he normally is and put Giles through, who sounded like some kid who'd just got up on stage to sing in school assembly...badly!

Bobby Brown has a song for that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cDLZqe735k

Seriously, though, he will be out soon. Don't worry because those who leave before him are probably not worth a second look after the show anyway.

I wish that were true, but unfortunately, given the demographic that votes and the fact that the "girls are gonna love him," it's likely that a number of decent contestants will go out before he does..

Still, XF is the gateway to a career path. I mean look at Frankie, he managed to get into CBB and finish just behind a middle aged p*sshead who stalked Mr Blond and got her t*ts out - rock and roll indeed

I think he will be out before all the Girls (except maybe Abi, but that's not much of a loss, I reckon), Nick, Rough Copy and perhaps Kingsland Road (who was upgraded from Nu Vibe status to The Risk status this week), and the better Sam (Bailey).

Remember how UJ and D3 struggled to get votes despite all the annoying teens who spammed Twitter? Yeah that could happen. He doesn't look like the darling of the producers so think my list is pretty much good.

Sam is way better than Frankie.

1) He's actually attractive
2) He's actually got a very sweet personality
3) He can actually sing - why he preformed that badly last night is beyond me...
