Okay, I've got an hour or two spare. I'll take your questions. No time wasters please.

Thank you. A bit of a tame start I thought but the Rough Copy boys already look difficult to beat. Yourself ?

A tricky one. It would be from the shortlist of Kitty, the woman from Same Difference or Leona. Probably Leona. I would first take her to a classy restaurant, such as The Mayflower in Warrington, woo her with my charming conversation, read her some French poetry and finish off our first date by singing one of her own songs to her. She'd like that. She'd be straight on the phone the next morning asking to see me again.

Well, you probably need a recently deceased grandad who said his dying wish was for you to appear on The X Factor. Also, say that you don't want to have to go back to being a checkout assistant etc. Give Sharon a red rose then start crying. Seems to have worked for some. Oh yes, I forgot, practise your singing as well.

It would be Miss Dynamix for me but there are quite a few sub par performers this year. What do you think ?

I try to make sure that the people I don't like are either poor singers or have little or no stage presence. I really hate when fat, unattractive, or whatever people are voted off first when they can clearly sing and the judges try to con everyone that it's not like that. That said, I didn't like the girlband last night but they may get better. A bit early to judge really.

Thank you. As I posted earlier, probably Miss Dynamix but I don't like to see people leave too early. Gary Barlow is the worst part of the show for me. I could teach him a few lessons if the opportunity arose.

I thought the same, really. I can't stand Rough Copy.

What do you think needs to be done to rejuvenate the show?

Without being immodest, I would be a must myself as a judge, sitting in the end seat. My endearing mixture of comedy, class, serious singing analysis and overall irrepressible charm would be ideal. Sitting next to me, as long as she kept her hands to herself, would be Charlotte Church. I'd probably keep Louis to be the butt of any jokes and would finish off with the woman who plays Alice on Eastenders.

A surprise to me as they seem to be as good as anyone who has been on the show but it's all a matter of taste. To rejuvenate the show, I would actually like to see a series where all the acts are bands who have a singer, a drummer, rhythm guitar player and bass to see if we could find a genuinely talented band rather than just a singer.

Not at all. A drunken two bit lush would not be good news.

Not entirely sure. There are normally one or two but it seems to be a big deal this year. The Kingsland Road boys look to be a barber's dream come true.
