With no football, nasty weather and not a lot else to do, as iTunes Radio isn't coming to the UK until next year, I decided to see if I could get it working.

And surprisingly, it's very simple. You just need a US iTunes account, which is relevately straight forward, then use it to login into iTunes.

It's an excellent service. Cos I don't have iTunes Match on the US account you do get ads, but these are every 10 - 15 tracks, last only for 15 seconds and usually are for music to d/l from the iTunes Store.

There are a set of already defined channels but you can create your own very simpliy. You can tailor the radios to play more popular tracks or be more discovery.

Definitely worth trying until it's officially available in the UK.

I have kept thinking about getting a US itunes account, this may be the push I need.
Two questions,
1) where did you get the us itunes card, I see lots of eBay/online offerings but a recommendation for one that does give out code would be good.
2) does iTunes Radio work off line (with out wifi) could I use it on the way to work?

1. No you just need a US iTunes account. No iTunes card needed. It's free.

2. Nope online only.
