Interesting. Presumably this is the series of 'Real Crime' which is currently airing in a post NaT slot on Mondays. I can't see it doing much better tbh-3m tops.

Apart from the final F1 race from Brazil, I can't think of any "major" sporting events left in the calendar. The F1 last year got 7.44m, any chance it could get 8m or over for this year, and potentionally beat the Euro 2008 final?

I think there's hardly any more sport this year that could get into the top 30. However, I might be proved wrong tomorrow when England play Kazakhstan. Also, yep, the F1 Brazil race will rate well, and might get into the top 30.

I think we won't see much change to the Top 30, apart from the X Factor and Strictly moving up. Also maybe some BBC1 Xmas shows getting in there.

^

You forgot the ratings for Survivor.

So ABC edge the 10pm slot by the smallest amount, although that could change when ratings are confirmed. But that's a tough hit for Greys Anatomy and CBS is still thriving with its crime dramas.

Kath and Kim was a pretty decent. I think they did a good job. It is different from the Oz version but I liked it.

That Saturday Night Live special gave ER a big leg up in the ratings. SNL is really hot at the moment in the ratings, helped in no small part by Tina Fey's appearances as Sarah Palin, but I didn't think this show would do as well as it did.

They've started a Thursday night show because NBC's run out of programming!

Yes these special shows are Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Specials which is strangely NBC's most popular show on Thursday. Life On Mars and Eleventh Hour were quite close.

Never clocked before how many watch - must say it is higher than I expected. I watch most weeks but didn't have faith that so many were interested in the events of the week.

natural born sellers

Despite poor viewing figures the show had a positive response from the critics. Tim Teeman in The Times said "it absolutely rocks". Sam Wollaston thought it was "The Apprentice for the credit crunch".

Is that meant to be a compliment?

Just goes to show what I always thought - critics are totally out of touch with the mainstream audience.

Ah well, not to worry too much as there's plenty of other sources for weekday ratings- though, DS is probably the most comprehensive when its articles are up.

Regarding those soap ratings, that was a good victory for Emmerdale. The clash against EastEnders hardly made a difference to its ratings (as usual), whereas EE was down nearly 4m from the previous day! EE's ratings won't be a pretty sight when Emmerdale possibly clashes with it twice a week once the Wednesday football commences on ITV1 later next year.

And no matter what Emmerdale do they will never beat EastEnders in a public vote for best soap. It must really eat them up inside!

Yeh true. But I suppose generally the type of viewers who watch Emmerdale are not the type to go on the Internet and fill out soap awards forms or texting their votes, etc. EastEnders' younger audience does help out in that respect, though it is arguably the better programme anyways.

Does anyone have figures for Call Girl on Thursday night ITV2? It's figures have been dropping just wondered if that trend has continued ...
