Perhaps, but ITV seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they have the first show too early it will clash with SCD even more than it's scheduled too atm (45 minutes) and that would knock the average even more.

We'll have to see how the results perform in a later slot.

It's preferable to them starting the main show before 6pm like they have done in pervious years.

Well shows like BGT have still gained massive ratings with post 10pm results.

ITV's Saturday ratings usually tail off after 9.30pm. It should do ok.

Could the schedule look something like this?

Monday
9pm-Spooks

Tuesday
9pm-Spooks

Wednesday
9pm-Silent Witness

Thursday
8pm-Little Dorrit
8.30pm-???
9pm-Silent Witness

Friday
8pm-Little Dorrit
8.30pm-After You've Gone
9pm-Eastenders

LB:USA is put on Saturday for one week only and HIGFY will return the following Friday. That is the only possible solution I can see.

If i'm reading what you wrote correctly though, why would BBC1 have 2 episodes of Spooks and two SW's covering the 9pm slot. Also Spooks will clash with Wired if it airs on a Monday. Bizarre.

Probably needs an update.

Tuesday - 100,000 (0.5%) + 43,000 (Watch+1)
* peak: 112,000 (0.57%) at 20.45
Wednesday - 53,000 (0.3%)

Viewers tuned OUT then if peak was at 20:15?

If they went with Friday at 9pm for EastEnders, HIGNFY would have to move to another day in order for the series to be finished before Christmas.

Maybe Spooks is opening with a two-part story. I don't know, though.

That would make sense as it'd be Friday 31st, therefore a Halloween EastEnders hour special.

Anyone wanting to bet on ITV's % share today with the F1, X Factor and the footie? 25/30%+ maybe?

Also is http://img88.imageshack.us/my.php?image=umwhatjo5.jpg deliberate? (See the times for SCD in screenshot!)

Pretty pathetic if so. If it's a genuine cock-up then...well I don't believe the BBC could hire somebody that stupid.

I'd reverse that. Don't forget ITV have an hour of FONO at 7pm so that's likely to bomb.

I can't imagine that anyone is pleased by the constantly changing times. I would expect BBC to switch Merlin and SCD again, otherwise ITV will bring forward XF by a while so as the results can go out at a better time (even though YBF will have to start before 6pm).

Little Britain dropped, although not disasterously.

Wire In The Blood is very consistent, as is Al Murray. Poor for Alan Carr, though.

Interesting Friday overnights for the UK. A relatively mediocre night for BBC1. Not surprised people turned off from Little Britain, but it will probably get a boost from HIGNFY next week.

Strong night for BBC2 as always on a Friday. I'm actually surprised the American political show rated well tbh. I'd have predicted around 1 million.

Strong night for ITV1 up until 10pm. Strange that Corrie lost so many viewers though, despite a strong cliffhanger. Ratings will certainly be interesting for next Friday when Liam gets killed off. Emmerdale has been very consistent this week whilst both Corrie & EE have fluctuated-shows that Emmerdale has a really loyal following. WITB is also very consistent-strange that it launched with around 5.5m, but straight after settled at around 4.7/4.8m and has stuck there. Though its nice to see a really stable ITV drama, as they usually fluctuate a lot.

Very poor night for CH4. On the other hand an excellent night for FIVE-I never expected Police Interceptors to launch with 1.7m-that's excellent and I can see the exclusive show on FIVER afterwards doing well.

Nice to see Home & Away being the biggest multichannel draw-no surprise though as it was the first episode after the Olympic cliffhanger for UK viewers and was an excellent episode. Another good draw for Pretty Woman and ITV2 seem to have solid schedules every day of the week now, with one big hit every day. On the other hand how long will it be before R&J are actually down to 0??!

I was kind of hoping they might go with something along the lines of

6.15 Antiques Roadshow
7.15 SCD
8.00 Survivors
9.30 Stephen Fry In America
10.30 News

And switching the last 2 back 30 minutes after the Survivors 90 minute opener. But then again, is Survivors going to be a post watershed show?
I do wish they'd make up their bloody minds with SCD and Merlin though. It can't be good for either show.

Corrie back in the 7 and 8 millions for the final full day of Liam's life? Everyone must have been out.

Plus Emmerdale, although improving, need's to really get it's act together, being in the 6 millions when (correct me if I'm wrong) it was in the 8 or 9 millions last year.
