I think the changing slots has hurt its first run showing quite badly. To start on a Sunday, then skip Wednesday and go straight to Thursday at the wrong time is always going to confuse a few people!

I also think it really needs the EastEnders lead in. I've long thought Holby should move to Wednesday (it can survive on its own) to give more opportunities to new shows in the Tuesday and Thursday 8pm slots.

The one plus for Little Dorrit is its repeat figures on Sunday teatime were very strong. In total it has a pretty good following, but I guess quite a few will prefer to stick to Sundays than the soap format.

So there is no I'm a Celebrity on Wednesday 19th November or Tuesday 25th November?

I think this is a first. I cant believe ITV are actually going to try this - these shows need momentum and I dont think people will like trying to follow a show where they need to wait 48 hours to see what has happened.

I think I would have moved News at Ten, or moved IAC to 10.30pm (A time that is not really that late for a 30-45 mins update).

I do think though that ITV should be applauded for moving IAC out of the way of Children in Need - 2 years ago I think they accidentally clashed, but last year they purposely put an extra Coronation Street (before it was on twice on a fri) and the first eviction up against Children in Need, which I didnt think was a nice move, especially with Channel 4 continuing with their policy of airing repeats only on Children in Need night. So good on them for finally moving it out the way. Perhaps Peter Fincham - moving BBC1 - ITV1 realised that was not the correct way to behave.

Is this Champions League for the Tuesday then? Two-hour show on the Wednesday?

What about The Bill?

Some ratings from Brand Republic:

http://www.brandrepublic.com/News/86...-viewers-ITV1/

Quote:
“Fergie's orphanage documentary pulls in 2.4m viewers on ITV1

LONDON - The Duchess of York's expose on the shocking conditions inside state-run institutions for orphans and disabled children in Romania and Turkey brought ITV1 2.4m viewers last night, according to unofficial overnight figures.

'Duchess and Daughters: Their Secret Mission,' which also featured Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie as part of the undercover reporting team, captured a 10.3% share of the audience between 9pm-10pm.

The 9pm slot was won by BBC One's crime drama 'Silent Witness', with 6.1m viewers and a 26.7% share of the audience.”

Ignore, looking too far ahead LOL. Will Ant and Dec be hosting the ITV2 show this year then?

That's poor for ITV1. I thought it was reasonable scheduling and a good programme. Then again, when some repetitive police documentary pulls in the viewers on BBC1, anything up against a drama like Silent Witness has no chance whatsoever.

That's pretty good for the MTV Awards really. Am I right in thinking the MTV Video Music Awards still haven't been shown yet on a Freeview channel? Normally they get repeated a few months later on either C4/Five, but I haven't noticed the VMA's being shown yet. I only ask because I believe Russell Brand hosted and from the clips I saw it looked pretty good, with Russell on top form.

Poor ratings for The Duchess and Daughter doc considering how much publicity surrounded it on the news, Silent Witness did very well for BBC One as did Buzzcocks. Surprisensly they have switched Graham Norton to 9.30 and Lead Balloon is to air at 10pm. Perhaps the failure of the 9.30 sitcoms meant they didn't want Lead Balloon to suffer the same problem.

I suspect that the low ratings across the board was partly due to DWTS and it was the day after US Election. It will recover next week but I'm afraid Life is doomed at the moment and possibly KR.

Considering only half the US gets The CW, amazing ratings for Smallville and Supernatural.

It's a shame as I have been really enjoying Beautiful People. It's very funny.

Although I only watched the first one by chance - I never saw it advertised.

Or saturday 22 November either according to Digiguide.

Three episodes missed in a week when they have never missed any days out before however they juggled the schedules.

Has to suggest the beginning of the end for this series.

The two hour episode Thursday in the first week presumably makes up for the missing one the day before.

But I have to agree this is a big risk and could well seriously effect viewers willingness to stick with it which the nightly schedule more or less makes you do for fear of missing anything.

If they are on, off, then on again (a bit like Heartbeat, The Royal etc in recent Sunday ITV scheduling) the result is some viewers take the hint and go.

So when does everyone think the big two (Corrie and Enders) will start getting 10 or 11 million plus a night again? if at all?

(I would have said big 3, but I think Emmerdale no longer deserves to be uttered in the same breath, it's bleeding awful at the minute)

People aren't going to just stop watching it because it isn't on for a day. Big Brother isn't always on on Saturdays is it when it's on?

Well there used to be a special episode aired for the first few series and it disappeared completely last year. But this year and during BB's 6 and 7 I believe there's been one.

Where do people suggest they fit I'm a Celebrity on Wed 19th and Tue 25th?
You're talking as if ITV have made this decision for no reason, with live football filling both evenings there is no where it could go

Not everyone wants to watch football. 9pm on ITV2 both nights would have been sufficient. Granted it wouldn't get anywhere near its usual figures but could potentially get 1.5-2m per night IMO, perhaps more.
