ITV seem to have even more to fit in early next year, with:
Beat The Star Saturday Night Takeaway Harry Hill's TV Burp Dancing on Ice Piers Morgan Show Primeval The Last Van Helsing The Colour of Money Britain's Got Talent All Star Mr and Mrs All earmarked for early next year. Surely Primeval and Van Helsing won't air simultaneously? I can see something that usually airs in Winter/Spring airing in the Summer (probably Mr and Mrs). |

I reckon Primeval should run for the first 10 weeks of 2009, then in March Van Helsing should replace it.
ITV could have a string of Saturday night drama hits if Britannia High and Van Helsing take off. |

I think the following will air from Jan/March:
Beat The Star Saturday Night Takeaway Harry Hill's TV Burp Dancing on Ice Piers Morgan Show Primeval DOI on Sunday. The rest on Saturday making up a very nice schedule with A&D at the heart of it. And from April-June... The Last Van Helsing The Colour of Money Britain's Got Talent All Star Mr and Mrs All for a Saturday if possible. |

ITV could have a string of Saturday night drama hits if Britannia High and Van Helsing take off. If Britannian High and Van Helsing take off, I'd commission 13 episode second series of them both, along with a 13 episode fourth run of Primeval, so drama would air on Saturdays for most of the year. |

However I do hope both shows do well, as ITV now have Saturday entertainment sorted apart from July/Aug with 2 new entertainment hits this year: Beat The Star & All Star Mr & Mrs. |

Any particular reason why The X Factor peaked at 19.50, instead of near the end of the show?

X Factor 10.36m (44.1%) So rougly 23 million viewers were watching TV at that time. |

End of Merlin. I'd imagine it stayed at 10.5-11.2m after that.
What do you think next week's X Factor will rate? It will clash against SCD for 45 mins. |

Next week will only get better.
Last year i'm guessing that the first live show of X Factor probably had a 5million lead in, but this year it was probably around 8million. Now thats a big diference, which might explain why there is such a big difference from last year. |

Nothing surprises me with TXF anymore. 10m is great although I think next weeks wont be as high.
I really dont see why such a fuss is being made over BH. It really hasent picked up much anticipation at all, I can only see it doing really well if it picks up a post X Factor audience. SCD put in a dignified performance I s'pose all things considered a did Merlin. |

Ah, yes. Some people probably tuned over from BBC1 at that time.

BARB question:
Do they do it per member of the family that is in the program, or household? For example if The X Factor gets 10.3m, is that 10.3 million BARB households or could it be less, but 10.3 million total viewers in the BARB households (i.e. a family of 6 all counted individual). I hope that makes sense to someone

Disappointing rating for the footie IMO. A lacklustre first half and Strictly stiff competition in the second are likely causes.
But still, a great day for ITV1 and an impressive share. |

45 minutes of pre-match waffle probably contributed, too.
I think as well when the game ended it should have gone almost straight into TXF if possible with all the post match analysis moved to a special programme on ITV4. |

Last year, the results show had a huge lead-in from the Rugby World Cup Final invcolving England. Yet got less than 7m viewers. This year, there's justa huge interest in the show.

I forgot about the Rugby, but ask yourself is a rugby fan move likely to stay and watch the X Factor than a football fan.
