Can people vote in Scotland?
Just wondering as it would dramatically increase Nicky's chances on winning the whole competition

Yes, but we have to travel from our wee crofts in the glens to the village post office to place the call during daylight hours and it is shut on Sunday.

Is this question for real?
Does Scotland have the same Sun as we do in England? Those saying shows like X factor is dumbing down the nation may be onto something... |

I would imagine so.
I never understood this regional voting mentality on tv shows. I would never vote for someone just because they live in the same place as I do. So it seems silly to assume others will :S |

But when you bring Scottish people into the equation, we will literally vote for anybody (e.g. Leon Jackson, Susan Boyle)

Lol, this thread. I certainly won't be voting for him, I think he's dull and mediocre.

Desperate judges/mentors often try and whip up some sort of tribal/civic allegiance by imploring viewers in Scotland/Ireland/Wales/wherever to get behind "their" singer... I dunno if it actually works though. I reckon it's all a bit tacky to be honest and the average viewer probably has more sense than to vote based on nationality or geographic background.

So will the others who are English also have their chances of winning 'dramatically increased'? After all, England's population outnumbers Scotland's by a long shot.
and 1 act is from Scotland.... I think it will be more of an advantage for Nicholas... really not that hard to understand |

Scotland is not that big on regional voting anymore. There are lot less scots living in Scotland these days but the population hadn't dropped
