Here's a wrestling one which I was pleased popped back into my head, although I suspect it'll turn out to be ridiculously easy!

Lord save us, a Downton Abbey reference ?

Pixelated footballer's gestures, never seen that on my TV or newspaper.

When VCM generously allowed the contestant a 2nd stab at the TOTP question, did he say "whole lotta love" or "whole lotta lovin"? Sounded like "lovin" to me.

Yeah, footballers pixelated gestures was a bit of a weird one wasn't it?

The Builders had a mare, their questions were harder IMO but they were clueless. Lucky to end up scoring 7!

Wasn't it the CCS version of Whole Lotta Love used as the theme to TOTP?

Glad it wasn't just me that thought "Footballer's gestures" was a weird choice for Pixelated. Even now I'm unsure just what it means. When and where do they get pixelated? Odd. Very odd.

I must be one of the rare breed who watches only football and Monday night quiz programmes - very little else on TV.

I have never seen footballers' gestures pixelated.

I chose to use my apostrophe carefully.

I've seen it in namby pamby US TV where an American Footballer gives someone the " finger " but never on UK telly

Odd choice considering every true-life TV doc from Gypsy Weddings to Motorway Cops has an army of square faced loons.

According to Wiki, Led Zep was used in the '70s, CCS in the late '90s

Wasn't meant to be a dig, but I can be a pedant - the moniker is a homophone for my team!!

Nah, CCS got the gig.
The Zep version doesn't have the bit TOTP used for the top 5 rundown before the No.1 was played .

The question wasn't about the rundown.

TOTP always used the CCS version.

I thought they used a different version played by CCS members (they were session musicians) rather than CCS themselves to avoid paying royalties.

Ah ok. So it was CCS up till 81 and a remix from 98?

And why was a foreign bank note that pixellated? I hate it when they dont explain all the answers . And some of the questions are just too obscure . I could recognise episode titles from the original 1960s Star Trek series but I wouldn't set them in a general knowledge or intelligence test eg The Prisoner episodes from a previous round.

Somebody'd better change that then. Alexis Korner wasn't it?

Yeah, CCS [ Collective Consciousness Society, fact fans ] took the basic LZ riff and extended it .

As a poster alluded to, the version used on TOTP is a different recording to the one released by CCS , something to do with the penny-pinching BBC avoiding paying royalties , scholars of the history of TOTP will be familiar with this type of pencuniary craziness.

Then there was the other story of how the old grey whistle test insisted on paying John Lennon a fee for a live session because it was "bbc policy", and when told it was £15 Lennon said " just send me a load of these biscuits I can't get in New York".

It seems to be fairly standard that there has to be a fee 'for contractual reasons'. All the musicians on the Children in Need Perfect Day recording were paid Musicians' Union minimum rate.
