People have often been accused of taking things too seriously in this thread, and here was a prime example.

I quoted the previous answer and topic of Steps. Their debut hit was called 5,6,7,8, it was a very simple, deliberately low-brow question about a fluffy, pop band.”

I thought the person who gave 9 as the answer was the person who asked the question. My apologies.

I have got no idea what's going on.

I couldn't help singing it while typing. What was really scary was just how easily I knew all the words.

Confused?

What is the next in this sequence...?

GR GL ZNBY
T MTH YD LTN
PR CBRS NN
???”

You left out RG RMR and strictly speaking SNCN NRY

BIB Is that not the point of OC?

Oh man! I had Mre initially and thought I had missed Lznby so changed it. Now I realize it should have stayed Mre as I had got mixed up with the order. I skipped Cnnry etc. so that the missing one was the current person.

MJR FL.

Haha

To be fair it was RG RMR in the original version, I just wasn't paying attention in the post there. Oh well, one mistake after another. Hands up.

On the James Bond question that was posted on here, the first three were (I'll just type them normally to make it easier)

George Lazenby
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan.

Because Roger Moore was missing I took the question to mean the number of Bond films they had done.

Lazenby only did one, Dalton two and Brosnan four. So the next in the sequence is Daniel Craig, also with four.

I think I got the right answer for the wrong reason.

This might even be a Gettier counterexample...

Well done! You spotted the real connection, that I meant all the time. Honest. I know I was suggesting something different earlier but that was all a bluff. So actually I didn't mess it up at all. I also deliberately left a vowel in the earlier post as a test. All is well and I have not failed after all. Thanks Sarah for the get out, erm I mean spotting what I meant the whole time.

If two are level on 4 then it isn't a sequence, is it?

I'd imagine the show was recorded before SPECTRE was released. At that point, Craig had only 'done' three Bond films - Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.

So the sequence is Lazenby - Dalton - Craig - Brosnan

It wasn't one from a show.

Disappointed the Yorkers didn't win. I liked them.

"When is Snoop Dogg known as Snoopzilla?"
"When he's terrorising the streets of downtown Tokyo."

That deserved a round of applause, not that other guy's version of Ernie the Fastest Milkman.

The tiebreakers tend to be loosely connected to the situation (last week's was fastest finger first IIRC)

Victoria should have been corrected on that "Repeated 5,4,3 and 2 times" sequence.

It actually should have been "Repeated 4,3,2 and 1 time"
