Ah, the ghost of Codeblue lives on.

Why 19 , could the 4th song not be Thirteen by Johnny Cash ?
BIB: Silly comment.

Do you know of two songs with 15 and 14 in their title? If so, why have you not named them, instead of just a song with 13 in the title?

I have never heard of Thirteen by Johnny Cash.

It could have been Thirteen but only if there are songs (relatively well known) with 14 and 15 in the title but even then Nineteen is far more well known (a UK Number 1 hit) and so it was worth taking a chance.

Johnny Burnette - You're Sixteen, is not that well known. Certainly not to the younger members here, like those in their 30s.
That was the hard part.
If you were lucky enough to have recognised the song, and I didn't and I have a broad knowledge of music, then 19 would have been a logical assumption.

You would have to have a pretty good knowledge of early 60s music though to get it.

I would've spotted Ringo's version of You're Sixteen.

I didn't recognise that sponge picture, I thought sea anemone too.

Sponge.

The leap year connection seemed very easy as all the evidence was there in the first clue. The was no option to go backwards because of the change from Julian to Gregorian calendars.

When DC came up, the first thing I thought of was DC Comics, then District of Columbia. So when DS appeared, of course it was Digital Spy even though there was no connection! Police ranks never entered my noggin until DI came on.

As for moving OC to Fridays, maybe the schedulers believe it's a better partner to Mastermind than University Challenge.

Given that the only thing I know about the Ship of Theseus is thst it is the posh version of Trigger's Broom, I would genuinely have got five points for that....

So would I.

As soon as I read your post I thought it sounded familiar. So I checked back. And I was right. You were on the 60103 Flying Scotsman thread, back in February, and after I'd mentioned it being a possible Ship of Theseus, you said, "That's the posh version of Trigger's Broom." I claim my five pounds.

The NRM actually have an interesting article on their website where they admit that a lot of Flying Scotsman that you see today is not the original engine.

I am on a mission to fit either Girls Aloud or Flying Scotsman into as many Digital Spy threads as I can, at least those threads I'm interested in.

They had a Girls Aloud song in the music round on Only Connect recently.

No, the connections was murder by siblings. None of the candidates were murdered by anyone who wasn't their brother, the latter part is just as necessary. If they'd said 'they were all murdered' that wouldn't have been good enough and I suspect they would got a 'I'm going to need more than that..' response from Victoria. 'Betrayed by siblings' is 'more than half right' but not 100% correct IMO. Whether that should be good enough to get the point is, as has been suggested, a referee's decision. Personally I'd actually have said not, as the act of murder was part of the point too - you are correct to say that. But I'm not in charge.

In fact, I was amazed to see both sides cocking up the wall round royally. To run out of time in the wall round when you know what the answers are because you faff about so much you end up simply not pressing the buttons in time is ruddy criminal.
The list was the brothers committing the murder, not those that were murdered. Except it wasn't as Michael Corleone never murdered his brother, but I guess ordering his execution to be committed by a third party makes him just as culpable.

What does anyone think about OC moving to Fridays after Christmas?

EDIT: Just realised you've already had this discussion. Please ignore me. Merry Christmas everyone.

It would appear that there's no XL version of tonight's Christmas edition (or if there is they'll show it in February or something!)
