Yes, I was thinking Spain when I saw Pains but I'd have never got the rest of them.

Was I just having a thick night or was this episode really hard overall? It seems like it's that stage in the competition again -- half an hour of blank looks!

Yes, round 2 was particularly opaque. Numbers of MEPs representing the smallest countries? Aye, righty-ho.

Last week Alice Arnold said she remembered the dehydrated water capsules April Fool on Magpie. This fooled me too. Apparently you had to expose them to sunlight to reactivate them and they demonstrated this with a bright lamp in the studio, under which the capsule suddenly started spurting out water, then showed a picture of a flooded village where a truckload of the things was supposed to have crashed. Hook, line and sinker.

The clue was that these were European countries with small sizes and populations, so you were looking for the smallest non-trivial country to finish the sequence. You didn't particularly need to work out that it was MEPs.

I saw Spain and Chile, which was enough to guess the link. Italy and Peru completely defeated me though, even knowing they might be countries!

No more opaque than TILE or Australian seas, or most of the other questions for a stupid person who doesn't quiz for a living, like me...

I did guess Malta because it was the only small European country I could think of, but would have never have known why.

I was a bit confused by the 7 dwarves question. Do they have a running order?

They were in alphabetical order: Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy.

Apologies if this has been answered before (or if I'm just being dense!) but when one team's attempting to connect the clues, can the other team hear what they're saying? It would be a bit unfair if they could!

The desks are quite a long way apart so it's hard for one team to hear another if they confer quietly.

But if they speak too quietly, it's difficult for their team to communicate properly and that slows them down. Personally, I think it's best to speak in a normal voice and give your team the best possible chance of winning up to 5pts, rather than worrying about whether the other team picks up the bonus point.

Thanks -- had searched on there a bit but only found odd episodes here and there.

With stuff like this, I can't see why the BBC can't archive them on iPlayer.

Yes, the MEPs question was the only one I could remember off the top of my head, but I did mean the whole round. Alphabetical dwarves?

They didn't get it right, they just said "sneezy". Then they got a bit of help and got it right 3rd time.

Wasn't it nice of VC to get her cleavage out in the final round.

There's actually a speaker behind each team playing what the other team's microphones pick up. We could hear the other team's discussions pretty clearly from behind us. I presume this is done so as not to give an advantage to (younger?) teams that can hear across the studio.
This led to us trying to chat *really* quietly, with me and Emily leaning forward and in so we could hear and see each other. I have to crank up the volume on the telly to hear our chat. Probably makes for bad telly as we're never looking at the camera and a lot quieter than Vicky

Only in your perverted mind, I'm sure I would have remembered the sight of Vicky disrobing and displaying her wobbly olive skinned breasts, mind you, I was concentrating on the wall at the time so I'm not discounting it, it might have happened.

I'll check it on the I-Player .

Yes, concentrating on the wall is still incredibly difficult so a pity you missed it.

There was a difference in dress positioning for the missing vowels, but hardly worth a check on iPlayer

If I were in a team, I would just talk loudly and have the confidence that the odd point here or there on the steal wouldnt make much difference.

What is this wall thing? I can only see VC standing there, and there's some other people talking about stuff...

After some of the obscure answers in the early rounds, I thought the missing vowels was one of the easiest this series. I must say though, VCM's cleavage is amazingly Goldilocks.

Why were you still concentrating on the wall? Most people would have moved on to the Missing Vowels which is the final round.
