New section for PortwennOnline today - Resumes!
http://portwennonline.com/Resumes.html
I have been working on this for over six months now and it is as complete as I can get it. I wanted to take the IMDb profiles for both MC and CC, organize them, and add to them. I have been able to get some information on most of the roles they have played, but there are some holes - hopefully some of you can help me over time to fill in those holes. For most of the productions they are in, I have included pictures (all are thumbnails - click on them to see the full-sized pics), audio clips, and a synopsis of the program or the series. I also have the date the program (or each episode) was first broadcast or released, the network on which it was broadcast (if applicable), the series# and episode# (if it was a tv series), and what type of production it was (Movie, TV movie, TV series, Documentary). They are in order by the date broadcast (or released) with the television series' slotted in based on the first episode broadcast. One critical thing that I decided while putting this together. I decided not to link to any videos online for any of these programs or movies, because most of them are for sale in one form or another - or potentially will be. In consideration for MC, CC and the wonderful people who put so much time, energy and money into producing this programming, I linked each of them to places where they can be purchased or rented and I hope we all continue to support them with our pocketbooks. Having said that, I know there are productions that aren't available for purchase, so I'll leave it to the clever DM fans to seek them out!
I did, however, link to videos for the next section - "Interviews, etc". Because most of these interviews are never released in any form for purchase (mostly morning shows). If our wonderful friends who record them and upload them didn't do this, they would be lost for all time. So, I have found every television interview I could find for MC and CC, put them in order by date, and linked to a video if I could find it (surprisingly - and happily - a good percentage of them!). The only exception here is the show he just hosted again a few days ago - Have I Got News For You. They sell DVDs of the "best of" for this series, so I decided not to link to the videos. They are out there - you can find them with just a bit of digging! On that page I also included any other miscellaneous video that can be tied down to a specific (or approximate) date. This page also includes programs where MC or CC was the narrator. I included MC's documentaries on his acting pages because he was so involved in all of them - not just a narrator. The show, "The Secret Life of Dogs" for instance, went on this "etc" page and not the acting page because he was simply the narrator and not involved in production. And there is another section called "Commercials, Charity" for mostly undated videos that you might enjoy. And I took all of the strictly children's programming that Martin has done and put that on its own page. One of my beefs with IMDb is that looking through MC's profile, it's filled with every compilation of various Kipper DVDs that have been released - makes it hard to see the progression of his acting career!
One more item - another new button on the left side is "Port Isaac". This is for a planned new section that is a few months away. It's just very time consuming to add new buttons, so I added it now while I was adding the "Resumes" button. I'll let you know when the Port Isaac section is uploaded.
Anyway (I know, I'm a bit long winded) - enjoy! I will update these lists as necessary and I hope some of you can help me fill in any blanks that are there - or even maybe have found other productions I have missed. This should keep us occupied until at least 2015!
