"Gravity" was a choice for Louisa (alone) in context of S6. My personal taste and my mood can sometimes go deep and dark so it wouldn't probably be the popular choice. If someone is inspired by a particular song than go with that choice. There are hundreds of songs that would work, obviously.

What an odd conversation on the hill. Btw: the last time Martin was on a hill, Ruth was with him and I remember these words well: "You Must Change...it'll be difficult..."
M to L: I'm never going to change the way I feel about you. (this is after Louisa tells him that she knew in her heart that he wouldn't let her down)
L to M: I don't want that. (Okay, was she listening or did he change the line?)
This was rehearsed so they were satisfied with the scene??
M to L: I've tried. I've really tried but it just makes things worse. (yes, it did but it wasn't always your fault)
L to M: Can we go home..
smooch
M to L: Loveya, Louisa (LOL are you kidding me? This is not the language of Martin, his manner of speaking or a turn of phrase that he would use. I'm thrown by it...)
L to M: Love you, too. (liked hers better, more sincere/natural)
Okay, you know I'm going there...the real story was on my screen and it happened in Series 6. They can sweep under the rug but its still the real story. All their problems cannot be summed up in one little admission by Louisa. (You were right CA, they layed all the blame at her feet).
Series 7 was Doc Martin (light) or a return to what made the show a success. They have loyal viewers and their voices were heard. Bravo.
A newer married couple needs therapy - two personalities colliding and the marriage needs help. Many couples deal with this kind of friction - nothing mind.blowing by any stretch.
Louisa's reaction was perfect. that morning - Felicia claims this was the most challenging couple
she's ever encountered. (Don't look now but your inexperience is showing.) What a ridiculous statement. Messy marriages abound filled with little secrets of infidelity, secret children, addiction, lengthy custody wars. I mean, really, this was a walk in the park. The worst you could say about them was they were odd, quirky, and tightly wound. Oh, boohoo. ByeFelicia.”

Absolutely correct. An idiotic and unprofessional statement. didn't you love Louisa's rejoinder --- "you're only 32."
That hill scene was really awkwardly worded. I'm having trouble parsing it.
Did you hear him say "loveYA"? I thought the "I" was swallowed, but I heard 'you." Still, could have used one more take, b/c it was a bit odd.
I'm not sure they laid all the blame on Louisa -- however, she was the one who found the marriage so intolerable that she left and wanted a separation when she returned. So maybe it's on her to make the decision to come back?
I thought she was saying that she had put too much emphasis on something that wasn't nearly as important as the fact that he always was and always would be there for her, and that the idea of divorce really being possible made her come to that realization. -- Although he will still irritate the hell out of her, justifiably for the most part, I don't think she'll leave again. I don't see him going back into a S6 funk.

Apparently, some but not all, medical professionals are wizards, with a magic wand. Now he's sad, but not depressed. There's a difference. Attachment disorder is a rubbish diagnosis and Dr. T was quite right to disregard it.
