Does anyone know if the players receive any 'coaching'?
They don't, even on the celebrity shows and they ask for help. It's all because of compliance rules. Even if a contestant helps another one on a question then it has to be ditched, even on charity shows. It's so frustrating for the production team, but thems the rules.

Somebody should tell Martine that being thick isn't anything to be proud of.
Being the thickest person I have seen on TV for a while is some sort of achievement. Considering the amount of people to choose from.

That must have been awkward for Ben on Sundays show where he asks a question about a gameshow which he has also presented.

I really can't see how they can justify not allowing a contestant to keep counters which fall after the main counters have fallen.
Today one of the girls won three counters. She put the first counter in the machine and some counters dropped. While she was deciding which zone to go for next, a few more counters dropped but she was denied them.
Doesn't make sense to me.

I thought the opposite was the case? Unless it's gone into the next contestants turn, it doesn't matter when they fall. I'm sure I've heard the host say something along those lines.

I came on here to say the same thing. It was still her 'turn' and was told she could not have them

Also I am sure she answered a question in time and Ben would not allow it

This show seems to make it's rules up each day

I think that may be true in the final round when there is only one contestant playing for the 'big prize'.

I've never seen anyone opt for a 1 or 2 counter question in the final round.

They have a person on hand who nips in and out wearing white gloves (like a snooker referee). No, really! ☺

They wouldn't have to tiptoe in and out - they either don't film that bit or don't include it in the edit that's televised so it doesn't matter how they're removed.

Yes I realise it's edited out but I only thought thought they had to tiptoe was not to dislodge any counters balancing precariously on the tipping point

I assume that the machine is well and truly fixed to the floor with dampers included to avoid the effect of any vibration. The original fairground machines didn't reaction to vibrations. In fact it was very difficult to get any of the coins to move.

On a show a few weeks ago part of the machine fell off when a counter was released. It looked like a small silver bar. Shoddy workmanship.

Yes that was fun
Also when the person who feeds in the counters accidentally dropped in another mystery counter by mistake

Can anyone please tell me what happened at the end of Sunday's episode? (3/8) the chap got the star counter right on the edge and decided to trade and......my recording ran out!

My Mother who has a completely different machine from me had exactly the same problem in exactly the same place in the recording.

It's not on ITV Catchup and, although it's not a really big deal, we would, kind of, like to know what happened. Thanks

Well, after seeing this episode she has to leave the acting profession - or maybe she was acting there as well - acting dumb!

So pleased that Jason Gardiner failed miserably in last night's celebrity edition. Made my evening that Mr Nasty Smug came last, but disappointed for his charity.

My hubs watched it and said that he won the ten grand. He also said that he would also have taken the trade. Hope this answers your query.xx
