Celebrity? Who the heck is Kelly Hoppen?
And why does she look so miserable all of the time? |

That second ghost drop was longer on the day. They cut out the banter between Ben and Jo while they waited for it to drop properly.

They remove the pod of the person who's been eliminated, Ben takes a few sips of water while he watches the make-up people re-do the celebrity's make-up and the audience were "entertained" by a Dale Winton lookalike.

She introduced herself as a "stand up comedian". But I've never seen her do stand up. I've only ever seen her in quiz shows/game shows/reality tv shows!

When Ben says "light it up"...do the contestants actually light it up, or does someone behind the scenes light it up?

Have you ever been to a live comedy show in a theatre or club, or do you just watch TV? The live shows are where the comedians mainly do their stand-up routines.

Last night's 'Hobbies' question was ridiculous - Nottingham and Honiton were well known for lace.
Nottingham lace has never been a hobby as it's made on huge machines in large factories. It's still being made around the world, but must be made on the original Nottingham machines in order to be called Nottingham Lace. If made on other machines it's just machine-made lace. It has never been made by hand so has never been a hobby. Honiton lace is one of several bobbin lace types which are made by hand and was an industry, not a hobby, for many years before the industrial revolution. It used to be made by men and women in villages to supplement farming income as were other styles of lace mainly in Berkshire and Bedfordshire. There are thousands of bobbin lacemakers all around the world (me included) who still make hand-made bobbin lace of various types as a hobby. It's not viable to sell for a living as it takes so long - around a square inch an hour for coarser types - and it's no longer just lace edgings and doilies. But a stupid question for a hobby category. |
