Probably the best ever answer I've heard today:
Q: "Pythagoras' Theorem relates to what shape?" A: "Right-handed triangle"

A lot of young students on this show this week. I guess it has a cult following in studentland.

Surely doughnut (or donut as they call it in the US) was a VERY obvious answer!

Why is he going for 3 counters on categories he DOESN'T know?

I didn't know this was a new series.
Did the finalist go to school. He was useless. |

The contestant this evening, Dawn, was excellent. She released the counters spot on and won the £10k with 2 counters to spare. Well done her.

The x2 counter really spoils the show now. If one of the contestants gets a good drop with the x2 counter (like Dawn did today) it near enough guarantees they will be in the final.
The others have no chance of catching up. |

Yep, it already has the major flaw when the penalty pot has a bunch of counters going to one person (which pretty much guarantees them winning). Each penalty counter should have a separate question with the person buzzing needing to answer *immediately*.
Now they've introduced another unfair feature to allow someone to win the show in the first 10 minutes. It's an entertaining show - and an element of luck is naturally a part of it - but the utter stupidity of the mechanics is starting to put me off more & more now. |

The others have no chance of catching up. Also since when has a rabbits tail been good luck I have only know it as the foot. Poor rabbits

'Which book by Markus Zusak tells the story of a 10 year old girl living in Nazi Germany in 1938?'
'The Diary Of Anne Frank?' I love Tipping Point! |

The rules in this show are so bizzare.
A player won 5 counters. Dropped one and a couple of counters fell. Then when he was about to say where he wanted the next drop to go a few more counters dropped. Ben then says that they are an ambient drop and they do not count Why not? They should get every counter that drops while they are taking their turn surely.

This evenings four contestants must have been the worst for a while. They all dropped the counters far too late and paid the price.
Samples of answers. 1 What piece of kitchen equipment, used for melting or heating food when translated from French is "Bath of Mary"? Answer - Saucepan. 2. Which King of England came to the throne after allegedly killing the Princes in the Tower? Answer - George VIII . Afterwards the contestant said I was thinking Richard III or Henry VIII. Ben said why did you say George VIII then? |
