They do waste time saying the answer.

No, the correct time to drop is just (and I mean JUST) before the top shelf moved as far back as it goes, so that it is still moving forward when the counter hits it, dragging it forward with no other counters around to make it a rider.

Then there's the matter of the knob on the back of the machine, turned to put a slight incline on the shelf and encourage the counters to roll in the opposite direction to that wanted by the contestant.

Why do they always drop when the machine tray is going forward. FFS! Of course it will ride. You keep doing it too late.

I can't believe the answers I've been hearing on today's show.

Fairy Godmother in Snow White?!
Polonaise coming from Polynesia?!

WHERE DO THEY GET THESE PEOPLE FROM?!

Today's finalist, Melanie, has a good chance of winning the jackpot today. Not only does she appear to have a good general knowledge she also releases the counters at the optimum time.

Good luck Melanie.

Her general knowledge let her down in the final. Never mind she still went home with £3300.

I seriously cannot believe Hillary didn't know Pinata or Golden Gate Bridge.
Some shocking general knowledge on display today!

She was very crappy to and only got 2 right.
She was lucky to have all that cash.

It was Melanie who didn't know Pinata, Hilary answered after it was passed to her.

None of today's contestants have the faintest idea when to drop the counters. we are getting riders regularly. Very poor scoring all round.

I like the finalist though. He's a big, daft lad.

Why do some go for two tokens...three everytime

Part of me is sorry he gambled and lost the lot. He has nobody to blame but himself. His releasing of the counters were the worst I've seen in a long time.

As much as I like the guy, he deserved to lose out due to some of the worst drop timing I've ever seen (as Charenton mentioned). Simply abysmal and almost unbelievable. I'll say it again, how can you not notice when you are playing that you are dropping them at the wrong time? HOW?

I don't think Demelza is going to get much further. She's dropping her counters while the shelf is moving back. Amazingly she got away with it in the first round. The writings on the wall for her. Having said that, Leath, the other women isn't much better.

Luckily for Demelza, Leath was worse in the second round.

Demelza's counter dropping didn't let her down in the third round, her general knowledge did. You can go back to Poldark now.

He did not have much luck and wasted a hole 3 counters and did not get any money back at all.

Five counters in the penalty pot today. One guy wins them and ends up with £1650 in the first round. He will take some catching by the others.

Did anyone else notice the odd shot in today's (Wednesday) episode? At the beginning of the third part, before the head-to-head, the winning contestant (Dave?) had £2,000 but there was a quick shot of his score reading £2,250. Looks like someone cut in a quick frame or two from later in the episode when he actually did have £2,250. Very odd.

Yeah.

Any ideas how many episodes we got this series?
