The daftest bit of Tipping Point is the head to head round.

Most of the questions aren't that difficult, but for every one, they go through this "play or pass" nonsense.

"So,Joanie, what's the capital of France? Do you want to play or pass?"

"Hmm..I think I'll play this one. I'll say Paris."
"Arthur..would you agree?"
"Yes,I would have said Paris as well."
(Dramatic pause before answer is revealed.)
"Paris is the answer! Well done."

Then you get the ones that know the answer but try and make it look like they're not sure or they don't know. That is a legitimate tactic for the second player, but it's pointless the first player doing it (the one who's been asked the question). "Hmm,I think Dave might know that one,so I think I'd better play.." If you know the answer,it doesn't matter one jot whether Dave knows the answer or hasn't a clue,if you know, give the right answer and stop trying to be smart. You just end up looking annoying.

Some guy today got about eleven counters in one drop, including a x2. He went from a mile behind to about £300 in front in one go.

The amount of luck in this show is considerable,to say the least.

Anyone watching this right now?

The female contestant who is in the lead seems to think she is the presenter, she won't shut up, what an annoying woman! By far the most annoying person on the show to date.

Yep, agreed. Loves the sound of her own voice that one. Was gutted the Welsh lad didn't get to the final

The other bloke originally in the lead was stupid. The only way he could not win that game was for the other person to get loads of counters plus the x2 but there weren't enough counters there for that to matter - until of course the person in the lead kept piling counters into that section. If he'd just gone into a different section he would have won.

I'm not going to slag her off as she probably could be okay in normal life - we don't know - but she is coming over as one of those chatterbox, over confident, life and soul of the party, look at me 'characters' that the programme makers seem to love.
I suspect the trendy young media types who make these programmes have probably spent two or three hours before she got on set hyping her up and encouraging her to be as over the top as possible and telling her us watchers at home love that type of behaviour when you only have to read this forum to know we certainly don't !

And we also don't want to know about their hobbies, their 'funny' story, what they do for a job or what they will spend any winnings on.

I hate contestants who need to comment all the time other contestants are playing. Just shut up till its your turn.
It did cross my mind that it may be because she's a performer.

I admit I did smile when she took the money and the first extra counter would have won her the jackpot.

I had to switch it off, she was so annoying. Why did she have to comment on everything?

Wow, how irritating was SHE? Yap yap yap, share the love...I don't know how Ben can resist saying "Shut the f*** up for a minute" when people like that are on.

I agree, but this "Let's see if you would have won" at the end of the show is a complete waste of time. If she had gone for the bonus counters they would have been released at a different moment in time and she may, or may not, have won.

It was probably her own fault she lost anyway. She was releasing the counters far too late and getting too many riders because of it. In fact all recent contestants have been releasing counters too late. They get what they deserve.

I would not be surprised if they are encouraged to do this by the production team. There does seem to be a lot of communal encouraging and,"Ooh,you might get one there" type babbling from the other players when the counters are in the machine.

Yesterday's player,as others have said, maybe took this a little bit too far...

Just watching the one on Watch. The guy got the jackpot counter to the edge, half hanging off and just the slightest touch would do it but he kept the money instead, needless to say the counter dropped on the first try. What an idiot lol.

.
I caught an old episode on Watch a couple of weeks ago and a guy knocked 17 tokens over in a oney. I thought that was a record, but I read a few posts ago that a contestant tipped over 20 in one go recently. This show's strangely addictive. One thing's for sure, they get way more than their fair share of absolute dumbos on this particular quiz.

Personally I feel they shouldnt be talking when its someone elses go.

What is it with Ben and his orgasmic noises on the final round? Sophie, SOPHIE, AAARGH!

Every day he does this.

I dont know how ITV goes when it comes to fixing things as the machine does look tilted but when someone makes it to the final round, answers every question right, chooses the 3 point questions in each go and then doesnt win then somethings not right.

I really dont know why they say they want it to go left because you know it ll go right.

I remember one contestant who gave the answer to a question asking what specialism did a person get a Nobel prize in, he answered "Railway".

Shame it's not on Youtube.
