Just watching the one on Watch. The guy got the jackpot counter to the edge, half hanging off and just the slightest touch would do it but he kept the money instead, needless to say the counter dropped on the first try. What an idiot lol.
Been there, seen it, done it. I still walked away with £3100 though

Nice one, £3,100 is still a lot of money. I just think if it's balancing over the edge it's worth gambling.

Well done Amy. What a pleasant young lady she was.
She did well considering that she contributed 3 of the 5 counters in the Penalty Pot in Round 1.

There have been some extraordinarily thick people on recently. Why do these people go on quiz shows?

Jeremy, on today's edition, looks strangely familiar. Has he been on other quiz shows?

They always take the money!

Need to offer 4 or 5 counters for the trade instead.

It seems ITV are alternating new/old episodes these days. The absence of the X2 counter gives it away since that was not there in the early series.

The way they play the head to head sometimes makes me laugh.

"Which Australian pop star co-hosted the 2009 Brit Awards?"

Player 1: "I'm not very sure,so I'll pass it."

Well, how sure do you have to be? How many famous Australian pop stars are there? Famous enough to have co-hosted the Brit Awards? I'd say it's a pretty short list. I'd say that list's only got one name on it: Kylie Minogue. Who else could it be? Jason Donovan? So if you pass it,the other guy's probably going to say Kylie. And it's probably going to be right.

Player 2 : "I'll say Kylie Minogue."

Unsurprisingly,Kylie was correct.

This sort of mistake happens quite often. If you think there's, say, a 70% chance you're right, why pass the question? All you're doing is passing the 70% chance that you're right to your opponent,if it's likely he'll say the same as you.

The bloke today twice asked for two point questions even when the jackpot counter had hardly moved. I cannot think of any circumstances when a one or a two point question is a good idea. You just can't afford not to go for three, when you think how many land nowhere near the jackpot counter and end up being no help.

I know next to nothing about Food & Drink,it's my weakest subject, but I'd still go for a three point question. There's a chance I might know it, and even if I don't I've got a 1 in 3 chance of guessing it.

Also, Ben needs to stop talking the instant a player buzzes early. Too often he continues saying a couple of extra words of the question after the buzz, which turns the player's random guess into a certainty. Plus they get a few seconds to then think on it some more before giving their answer.

It's laughably amateurish the way it's all conducted. But then I guess that's one of its endearing qualities.

It was quite funny today when he said, "Which fictional detective",and the woman buzzed in just on that, without hearing the rest of the question. She said Poirot. It was Sherlock Holmes.

That was a major tactical error. There is next to no advantage in being quick on the buzzer in the first round, since everybody gets three counters to put in the machine, and you can't get any more than that by buzzing in early. But if you buzz in early with a wrong answer, you lose one of your counters and it goes in the penalty pot.

I clicked on that link and the lead story was about the Louis Theroux documentary on Las Vegas from some years ago. I've seen that and it was very interesting.

But I'm not sure what relevance it has to Tipping Point, and I couldn't find anything else on that page either.

Perhaps you could enlighten me.

But he wouldnt have won! How many times have we seen people go all the way to the end when the counter is near the end and they dont win. Its not difficult to grasp they rig the machine.

What was bull was that girl who was on had 0 and last counter on round one she gets £350 quid and gets through. Round 2 she on her final go about to lose and suddenly gets another £350 quid on the last go to go through.

I might buy it once or even twice but 3 times in a row where he makes it to the final round? C'mon people arent that gullible.

As for that other game that took place well I do have one thing to say

TAXI FOR TONY!

Cheeky little ******!
