Is this not a new series then?
No, I remember him distinctly as someone I know is involved with paralympics and drew my attention to him the first time he was on TP , I understand repeats are shown but to show the same programme 3 times in a short space of time is annoying

I'm sure it's a new one, the set looks slightly different.

And he looked totally indignant when the answer was given. Hope Tex wins as he displays some knowledge.

Must be a record for cries of push, drop and come ons today.

It must have been an aberration because, later, when asked who was the first of Henry Vlll's wives, he knew the answer.

Or he had a one in six chance and got lucky.

Is this a new series or a repeat of the full series or a one off?

What do others think of today's TP? Phil won five counters. He had put four in the machine and was just about to play the fifth counter when a load of counters fell.
Ben said that they wouldn't count because Phil 'wasn't in play' or words to that effect.
Then he played his fifth counter.
It doesn't seem fair to me. Clearly the counters dropped in the middle of Phil's period of play and, to my thinking, should count.

The rules are so ambiguous it's ridiculous. Most of the rules seem made up as they go along.

I agree. I'd like to know how they define being "in play". They usually allow counters that fall just after a person's go.

IIRC If the player hasn't pressed the button to release the counter, the dropped counters are "out of play". However, if the counter drops after the player has pressed the button on their podium, they are in play and are counted.

It can't be easy to find such stupid contestants as today, two of them thought Catherine of Aragon outlived Henry VIII.

I was about to rant at the same thing. Phil had put all the work into that zone so he should have been given them as he was 'in play'

Can you imagine if you were at an arcade and the same thing happened to you and the staff took the money from you saying 'sorry they are not yours' That is the same thing imo

As albion-mad-nick says they seem to make up the rules as they go along.

The finalist today didn't help himself by dropping the counters too late. By the time they hit the shelf it was travelling backwards causing the counter to stay upright. The result was he had far too many riding counters which cost him dearly.
