I would have switched off if Amos had reached the final. Well done Kathryn, I hope you win the £10K.

he seemed a nice bloke but Indonesia a continent?

How can you apply to go on one of these shows and not know what the continents are? I mean it's basic geography. Really basic geography.

Kissing disease is Herpes lol
Infectious mononucleosis (IM; also known as mono, glandular fever, Pfeiffer's disease, Filatov's disease,[1] and sometimes colloquially as the kissing disease from its transmission by saliva) is an infectious, widespread viral disease most commonly caused by the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV), a member of the herpes virus family...

It would have been a less than fair result. In their individual rounds she got five right and he only got one. He passed on about three that weren't difficult.

I once got asked the period of Mercury's orbit in a pub quiz tiebreaker.

I got it bang on, 88 days. I remembered it from school.

People thought I must have been cheating. "How can he know that?"

Some numbers just stick with you.

Bad luck Kathryn, the jackpot counter position was against you from the start. Six three counter questions right with no waffling about the two wrong answers even if you guessed a couple of them. I'm sorry you didn't win. Having said that, like many contestants, your late dropping of the counters didn't help you.

Not so stupid really. Perhaps he was thinking of a cold sore on the mouth, which is caused by the herpes virus.

That must have been the worst first round ever. Only £200 won with 10 counter drops.

Then Gerry wins the two bonus counters and get £1000!

Neither of them knew the name of Messrs Budd, Bunter & Liar was Billy. The guess was Ted!!!!

How did she not get the Tess of the d'Urbervilles question right. Ben gave 99% of the answer in the question

Her voice is a tad annoying.

Only 32 counters to get Katie may as well go now.

After three rounds Gerry has won £2,100 and £1,700 of that was won with three counter drops, which included one double bonus counter. for £700 I don't see him winning much more.

It's been the worst display of general knowledge for as long as I can remember.

You should have seen the girl on the Chase on Tuesday. She was studying French and Italian and couldn't say more than bonjour and ciao. Her general knowledge was shocking. She didn't get one question right:

Why would Alan Turings will sell for over $1 million when his scientific notebook would be a lot more valuable.
