I can't see the point in ever going for two counters, there doesn't seem to be any real difference in the difficulty of the questions
Over time we've noticed this too, even to the point that we've considered a 3-counter question to be so ridiculously easy we wonder what 1- and 2-counter questions might have been!

Even with a subject they know nothing about (in my case that would be football) there's a good chance that the question will be one which most people will probably know anyway.

As Chris Tarrant would say on WWTBAM .. they're only easy if you know the answer!

I dont know if you guys are reviewing the ITV or the Watch version but if there is one person I wish Ben Shepard had punched in the mouth it would be yesterday. There was a black girl on there called Emma and she honestly would not shut the **** up. She kept screaming every time she went mind you the winner was almost as bad being way too noisy.

Kinda wish Ben would have had a cat deeley moment.

That wasn't really a moment, though. It wasn't live television, it was scripted. It's from Peter Kay's Britain's Got The Pop Factor.

Which was very funny.

Well of course it is scripted you wouldnt have a outburst like that. Funny but wish Ben would do that.

£4,950. I think that's the most I've seen anyone win without dropping the jackpot counter.

£50 short of £5,000. That must be the highest non-jackpot win ever!

We've started off with a really difficult question today:-

What word does the letter K represent in the abbreviation UK?

Yes, but there was a hesitation before one of them pressed the buzzer. I think they all thought there was a catch

No Jackpot winner today. He was on a loser as soon as the jackpot counter settles between zones 3 & 4. He still took home £3,600.

I don't think there's ever been a catch in a Tipping Point question. It's not that sort of quiz. The obvious answer will almost certainly be right.

I read Chris Tarrant's book on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, when it was at the height of its popularity. In it, he said something along the lines of the following:

"If the question is 'What is the capital city of England' for £100, the answer really will be London. It will not have turned into Wolverhampton overnight."

Most of the questions on Tipping Point in the first round are that easy they're probably of the equivalent level of difficulty that a £500 question would have been on Millionaire. Possibly even less.

Does anyone know what other quiz Dinos on Saturday's repeat has been on? It's bugging me.

Poor bunch of contestants today. With the exception of a £400 double counter drop earning £800, the only other contestant to score got £300. The two girls got nothing.

The number 1009 in Roman Numerals spells out which short English word?

She decided IV, and not VIIII, was correct for 9, then came out with 'COVE' as her final answer.

Sebastian Coe?? the least likely of the three alternatives.

Ben tells him it's been a tough round, only because his general knowledge is rubbish.

What a disaster, 5 out of 6 questions wrong. If he hadn't won most of his money with two double counters he would be going home with a lot less. Assuming he made the final.
