Luckiest contestant ever on TP - she nearly had the jackpot counter over in 5 counters

Very often on Tipping Point the best contestant doesn't win in fact it's more usual for the best contestant to not win. Winning a game in which chance plays the major part over quizzing does not "prove" she was the best contestant. (I didn't watch the show before the final round to know if the others were worse but certainly her general knowledge was poor in the final round).

They've re-jigged the machine so zone 1 has become the new zone 4, get the big counter hard left and you are almost guaranteed a win whereas the hard right in zone 4 no longer works the same.

Why do they all go "Oh No" when they drop late and get riders? It's what they deserve. I have no sympathy for any of them.

It's when they blame it on bad luck that I really get annoyed.

That's a good start to the final round, the jackpot counter is another rider

He was defeated by riders in the final round.

This bloke, Mike, want's to talk a bit less and stop going round in circles answering the questions.

He didn't stop talking and Pauline makes the final.

I don't see her winning the jackpot unless she improves her counter drop timing.

Come home to roost now, with the jackpot counter riding, thanks to the appalling drop she gave it.

Never mind her timing, her absence of general knowledge is stopping her winning!

£1600. Appalling. Least I've ever seen for a winner.

The way she'd been answering the questions I was half expecting her to take the trade then! (and then go 'oh no sorry Ben, I meant...')

Four questions wrongly answered and only £250 won in the final round. She took home £1600.

They're Tits!

Couldn't agree more, Ben, their general knowledge is somewhat lacking.

Just what the hell was that gameplay in today's final?! On the first question he goes for 1 counter, ONE SODDING COUNTER, and then he goes for 2 for the rest. And as if that wasn't enough, he wouldn't even take the trade!

Well this guy just through away ten grand.

There was next to no chance three counters wouldn't of sent it over the edge, even Ben couldn't believe he didn't take the trade.

That must have been one of the worst final rounds ever.

Tony only won 9 counters in the entire round. He went for 4 two counter rounds and 1 one counter round. The other question he got wrong. The only time he saw three counters drop was when Ben "proved" he would have won had he traded. He refused the trade because he said his wife would kill him if he traded and lost. He certainly didn't deserve to win.

After applying for Tipping Point about nine months ago, finally had a phone call and quick interview and general knowledge test yesterday - leading to an audition later in the month. After criticising the poor general knowledge of most of the contestants since I started watching the show last year, it'll be time to put up or shut up if I get through...

I think TP does not want people who are too good with general knowledge.

If last night's finalist got through the the interview and general knowledge test then I think anyone could.

You will have to tell us when your appearing Paul so we can all watch you perform.
