I am not cut out for daytime TV lol, my hubby is off poorly and is watching it and its my day off so I am stuck with it. I have already suffered Alan Titchmarsh' Masterpiece who had the most irritating woman on it, screaming and jumping up and down and now Tipping Point with Holli, who has absolute zero knowledge of the world around her. I want to throw the tv out of the window!!! I hope she wins as little as possible, as she will probably spend it on a lifetime subscription to Heat magazine.

I suspect we'll be hearing "I haven't got a clue, Ben" quite a lot... |

She's probably going to guess every answer correctly.

The look on Bens face told her to change her answer.

Today's two finalists didn't have a clue. Have they ever read a newspaper or watched TV news? I don't think so. It makes one wonder how they ever found their way to the studio.
I suspect they were picked up and driven there. |

I believe I just heard her say she didn't know David Cameron cwas the Prime Minister after suggesting that Scotland has its own PM. She's just been incredibly lucky with her drops. How do these zombies get through the audition process???

One can only assume that ITV don't want to pay out too much in prizes.

Also he made some remark about her shifting the weight of the counters off and I wondered if he was having a vague dig at her body size. Anyway she was scarily thick on some subjects and to get nearly three grand and make the right decision not to gamble it was I suppose showing how lucky she was that day. Good for her. |

I was torn between Canada and Oz for that one as they've both recently got new PMs and I was thinking of the name, but then her answer distracted me from my own thought process and I didn't get to a decision. |

What on earth is Nicole doing in guessing answers, wrongly, instead of passing to Alun? He didn't know the answers to either of them.
She threw away her chance to reach the final. |

Being, ahem, between jobs at the moment, I've caught a few episodes of Tipping Point over the past week or two, and have a few questions.
First, what's the definition of a player being "in play" as it seems that this seems very much at Ben's discretion (or bad editing) and varies between a couple of movements of the top shelf, to half a dozen, as we wait to see if anything drops (or not)? Secondly, how do the counters themselves make that 'ker-ching' noise as they hit the shelf, or is it some sort of ITV 'fakery'? And lastly, as it seems counters regularly seem to end up on the floor as they "threw themselves out of the machine", hasn't anyone thought of sticking an extra bit of perspex along the bottom to stop them? |
