Here's the price list

http://www.denbies.co.uk/tickets/book-online/

If I went it would involve a 600 mile round trip. Wonder if the cost of travel is included in the prize?

That is really poor and I bet you have to pay your own way to get there

The one thing I really don't like about Tipping Point is the way the contestants seem to do a running commentary

If they didn't, the programme would be exposed for being just a bunch of chumps gawping at an enormous amusement arcade machine.

The same with that berk Noel Edmunds talking about 'strategy' in Deal or No Deal.
As if there is strategy involved in opening random boxes.

I'm glad that Howard won the jackpot nice and quickly. I was getting cheesed off with him talking so much considering all the possible answers to the question.

Why can't they just give the answer?

Well they have to pad out the time somehow

If he was a loser they would probably have edited out a lot of the filler chat

If it's a race between Rachel and Lucy, I wonder which one Ben would rather hug at the end.

Ben is not a happy bunny.

Puny winning total thanks to some appalling general knowledge and some even worse drop timing.

It wasn't a lingering hug, was it?

I won a family season pass to Drayton Manor theme park (in the midlands somewhere).
Since I live over 200 miles from this "attraction", just to get there, find accommodation and feed a family of four for 24 hours would have cost more than the pass was worth.

I gave it away to someone more local.

You could have tried auctioning it on ebay.

Ben has got his work cut out if Wendy wins the jackpot.

I would think Wendy's a cert for the final unless Richard ups his game.

It was almost as ridiculous as the earlier question, Romeo & Juliet was based on which Shakespeare play? That was a toughie

That was a really sneaky tiebreaker. "In which month are men encouraged to grow facial hair.."
"November."
"for the charity event Decemberbeard."

I'd never heard of that. I had to look it up. It turns out it's for bowel cancer.

Movember is far more well known. I think it's unfair on a tiebreaker question, where it's down to who's quickest on the buzzer, to lead people into a really obvious answer, they buzz in first, say the obvious answer, and then the rest of the question reveals that's not the answer they want.

If I had been knocked out on a question like that I would have been less than pleased, to say the least.

If she gets Ben in a bear hug, at the end of the game, she'll kill him!!
