So apparently, the letter M comes before R!
......what's more, the 'O' in DOS stands for 'system'!

Yes. That well known continent 'Ireland'.

To be fair, I think she just panicked.

They know the questions.
It's the answers they're short of!

I sent in an application but all I've got back is an automated email with an application form attached. Is this normal?

There is usually a different email address to send completed applications to. Are you sure you didn't send yours to the "please send me an application form" address?

(If so, you are guaranteed a place on the show )

A very poor bunch of contestants tonight. Not one of them knew when to drop the counter at the optimum time. Hardly any have landed flat on the shelf so far.

We have a primary school teacher in the final round with next to no general knowledge whatsoever. I think almost every question was passed by both contestants to the other contestant and most were answered incorrectly.

Is there a Spam that keeps popping up on people's laptops?

Are you as thick as cow-s**t? Would you like to humiliate yourself on national television by showing off your total lack of general knowledge? We're looking for contestants to appear on Tipping Point, The Chase and In It To Win It. Apply by e-mail (if you can, you thicko).....

I've just turned this on today.

He's got the first three questions wrong, so obviously the jackpot counter hasn't moved.

So he's only got three categories left, and he's going for two point questions? With only three categories and two point questions, he would have to get all three questions right and nearly every counter in exactly the right place to get it to drop. I think only two or three people have managed to get it out with six or less counters, and how many editions of the show have there been? Hundreds.

Oh, he's just switched to a three pointer. On the last category.

Not exactly brilliant tactics to say the least.

He said that sport was his strongest subject but he still went for a two counter question on sport.

If you went for two pointers all the way through and got five of them right, you'd still only have ten counters. Unlikely to be enough.

if you went for three pointers and got only four right you'd have twelve.

As far as I can see there doesn't seem to be a huge difference anyway between the two and three pointers in terms of difficulty. If you're good on a subject you should be getting the three pointers right. And if you're not you should probably still go for three anyway. After all you've got a one in three chance of guessing it even if you've no idea. In fact even if you know the answer only ten percent of the time and guess the rest, you will still get the question right on average forty per cent of the time.

I know next to nothing about Food and Drink, it's my weakest subject. But I'd still go for a three pointer. I'd hardly be much more likely to know the two pointer. And the one pointer just isn't an option.
