I`m so glad that Zoe is coming back. I thought by Saturdays episode she was gone for good.
Connie has gone up a few points in my estimation when she sussed out what Dr Knight was up to. Although she lost those points she gained by being so mean to Zoe. Sheesh is it just me or has Robyn put on more weight? She looks huge now. |

Bit of an odd one that. Not sure why Zoe got a moody voiceover if she's not actually gone for good. The episode seemed a bit schizophrenic as to whether Zoe's meant to be in the wrong or not, while Tess frustratingly brushes aside Zoe's comments on what she's become. I don't want Max to leave but it is a shame he didn't go with Zoe. Ash seemed rather wasted again. I think Tracie Bennett's character is meant to have appeared before but I'm too lazy to look it up, same as I'm too lazy to look up how many character Rene Zagger's played. Patient storylines were a bit much of a muchness really.
What else? Not sure how Connie worked out Ethan was behind the blood idea, presumably she just guessed. Had to laugh at Ethan demanding to know how Cal knew about it: Maybe it's because you left your laptop in the staff room with the file open on the screen? So, the spoilers implying Tamzin's fiancé was following Jeff were thankfully a load of guff, meaning we're back to it probably being something to do with Samantha. Dave was definitely not what I was expecting. I can't say I'm getting the "Jeff's going to die" vibe that others are, guess we'll see. |

Molly was in it pretty recently, about two months ago. She came in to the ED sinking and after new clothes. I think that is her only previous appearance (although I think Tracey has played other characters over the years)

Zoe is my favourite character these days. She was always great, but without the likes of Ruth and Jay she just can't be overshadowed anymore. TPTB had her stuck in the office too much until recent months and her appearances and action was limited so I am glad they changed that, possibly learnt from it, to lead up to her stepping down from clinical lead. Having her as deputy still gives her that slight authority that she deserves as the best emergency doctor they have (Connie is a good managerial woman and surgeon).
Sunetra (sp?) is such a good actress but has progressed so much and really got right into the character of Zoe. Please don't disappear for too long! |

I have not watched last night's episode, shall do later. Sunetra on SCD, wish her luck
To add on SKP's question, which is better nursing prior to the reforms all post reforms? There is a lot of speculation about who the return is. If it is a nurse then Senior Staff Nurse grade I think |

Why have a series ending one week, and then the next series beginning the week after, why have series.
Last nights series finale, was shit up to the endings that we have had. And as for next week. The series opener also sounds shit, what has appended to the 2 part series openers, the Bombs, The Stabbings. |

This was a nice temporary farewell for Zoe. I hope that she and Max will reunite when she returns.
This was a Bill reunion of such with actors who played Neil and Nick appearing. I am always glad to see the actors from The Bill working on other shows. |

I'd say there's been more of a move of late to treating the end of the year as the series finale, even if officially the series still begin and end in late summer. The last few years running, the show has taken a break of at least a couple of weeks around Christmas. It's also when changes have been made to the opening title sequence and/or music - and, most recently, when they made changes to the department (moving Resus to behind reception and giving the place a new paint job).

I have to say I barely recognise the show now. Fletch gone, Zoe gone, Jeff on his way (all my faves), and in Zoe's words Tess is
Something I barely recognise , clearly something's going on with Charlie.... Zoe's exit was emotional but I'm glad she's happy... Bit casualty just isn't the same |

Maybe between September and December one year, they could do a short series.
And then start could happen in the January and run for 48 weeks. Tgey have known for the years the Commonwealth Games would take off Casyalty for a few weeks, forward planning doesn't seem to be there. I imagine during the series, ,we will see a steady build up towards its 30th, glad the producer has said Charlie will be in the forefront |

Sounds like there is a storyline coming up with Charlie . Was being jet lagged leading to more or was it down to the fact the actor is pretty much part time these days .

next weeks episode spoiler indicates he is not well because connie voices her concerns to tess.
It could build up to maybe him dying or retiring from work this time Next year. It would be interesting to see how Derek Thompson would play it |

Could he suffer from Alzhelmers, and it get worse over the next 12 months, and maybe the30th anniversary could be his swansong, this isn't a rumour as it is just me thinking.

I highly doubt it- it's already been said that Tess and Charlie are here to stay for the foreseeable future.
And haven't been worried about being typecast. |

Have just come across an interview with John Michie (Guy) from June, where he hints at a past relationship or history between Guy and Connie, or something that might happen in the future, do you think the producers have anything in the pipeline?
I haven't seen any overt hints in interviews from OK, and it could just be an interpretation from the two actors. I think it would be interesting to see in terms of the power struggle that could occur, whether Connie would sleep with someone in a senior position to herself or not. Off topic I know but do you think the wards were better in the days of SRN's (later RGN and now RN with various initials after depending on specialisation ) and SEN's ( greenies) than today with RN's and HCA's

Does anyone know if Michael Stevenson is coming back soon? I always presumed that Iain's departure was temporary, partly because the terms of his exit didn't seem as if he was going for good, and also his image has remained in the opening titles.

Patient care is being left solely in the hands of assistants with very little training or experience. Quote:
