Out of interest, do you like the character of Cal? If you do, maybe you identify with him more and see the cheating as being the main factor. Personally I don't like the character at all. He's selfish and a complete "player" or "F**k boy" as my daughter would call him. I never liked that kind of boy when I was younger and would always have gone for the more "geeky", shy guy, like Ethan. For that reason I guess I am on his side.”

Even though Cal betrayed him, it doesn't mean that he should sleep with Alicia. How is that right? I know that he had already told Alicia that he loved her but he didn't act on it until after Cal had pissed him off. He could have dealt with his anger in another way.

I actually don't dislike either Ethan or Cal, but I just can't agree with Ethan's behaviour. There's no justification for it.

Cal is wrong for always hurting his brother. Ethan is wrong for sleeping with Alicia, regardless of what Cal has done in the past. Alicia is wrong for cheating on her boyfriend, especially because the person she is cheating with is her boyfriend's brother.

Agree with the bit in bold.

I don't mind Ethan, can't stand Cal and I especially hate how Cal is always screwing over his brother Ethan after everything Ethan does for him. However, what Ethan's doing can not be defended at all IMO. And Alicia out of decency should also turn down Ethan not give in. I can understand Ethan's frustration towards towards Cal and there are other ways Ethan can get back at him but this most certainly isn't one of them.

I hate this type of "affair" troupe where they make the victim into a douche in order to justify it.

Casualty really does need to get it's grittiness back.

I agree but I do like Cal.

Ethan's an adult. If enough is enough he should go to his brother or his boss and talk about it. Going "well I'm going to shag your girlfriend nyah!" is ridiculous, particularly when the only reason Alicia is with Cal is because Ethan was too self pitying to get over himself and ask her out in the first place. The two of them are as childish as each other but in different ways and Alicia should just try match.com instead.

Alicia may as well be a blow up, for all the reality or depth of character remaining to her

They only mean something and we only use them in everyday conversation because someone made the words us by going "Oh, I'm fed up of saying smoke and fog all the time, I'll just say smog instead."

Connie's one of the first that should go! Awful character that drags down every episode she's in.

That would make more sense. I must admit that I didn't pay much attention to where he went and it was a previous poster who said he'd gone round to Cal's which is what confused me.

I was wrong. For some reason, I assumed it was Cal's own place.

That's not the case at all. Only words that can be combined in a way that the meanings can be combined are a portmanteau. You can't just randomly choose two words and combine them just because you can't be bothered to use the two.

Do you actually know the origin of portmanteau?

Anyway, it's alright when the names go together well but when they are mismatched it's annoying. Eticia is annoying imo. But then so are the "couple".”

I'm pretty sure it was bennifer. I remember it from the oc in 2004. 13 years is too long for a dumb concept. As for the spoilers I think I'll be giving next few weeks a miss. Their not interesting.

I just caught on last Saturday's Casualty, and a few points:

1. Is Seb gay, bisexual or confused about his feelings? Does he have feelings for Dylan, and by making a complaint is trying to hide his feelings, especially if being gay will upset his dad?
2. Although Max seems not to believe Seb, why would anyone not believe him right now when the photo does seem to suggest there MAY be something going on.
3. What was that patient story about? So the kid is not being bullied, but why make up something like that just to grab your dad's attention?
4. Connie is treating Grace any other patient - is she seeing her own failings somewhere in Grace's long recovery?

Overall, a good ep, and I shall keep watching in 2017. But, please more patient stories.

I don't know who I hate more in Casualty, Cal or Seb, both get right up the crack of my arse.

What Lurks in the Heart

REVIEW by Alison Graham

Even by Casualty standards, there an awful lot of Painful Life Lessons learnt tonight. But first, the accident of the week – it involves stone steps, broken glass and two men struggling. Yes, you can see where this is going.

Once in the emergency department the two wrestlers reveal a mutually difficult family history that’s rather touching. Even more affecting is a curious love story involving a mascara-smeared drunk-texting woman who does that Casualty thing of falling onto broken crockery.

But the big story involves Dylan, who surveys the wreckage of his life and career after slimy Sebastian’s unfounded sexual harassment allegation. It’s up to manager Elle to get a grip on her staff, but she’s hopeless.

SUMMARY
Dylan becomes the source of gossip after Seb's allegation, but Max and Jez are determined to help him and try to record Seb confessing his guilt. Alicia and Ethan wake up together in blissful happiness, but are forced to face the consequences of their actions, and Connie spots something in Grace's medical notes that leads her to reporting Elle to the GMC.

I saw a spoiler on Twitter and it says Sebastian retracts the allegation he made.

I despise Cal. I thought we saw him soften when he met his mum but now he is just back to being a complete moron. I really wish Ethan would chuck him out and stand up to him more.

Cal is great when vulnerable or out of his depth. Unfortunately he is currently in default mode of arrogance! The pairing with Alicia hasn't helped - a character who has been ruined by this.

New preview gif on Facebook and Twitter is out. Also, a preview of what's to come is released sometime today.

They are going for votes at the National TV Awards! The show and Lloyd Everitt are nominated. Voting is open now.

I've watched Casualty since it started. This past year or two I've sometimes skipped an episode because I've found it either far fetched or dull.
I've just watched the last episode on iplayer and I'm done.
I really dislike everyone except Dylan, though at least Max is on his side so he's OK too.
I can't stand Louise and am surprised no one has ever called her out on her attitude towards colleagues.
I'll still read comments here but I won't be watching Casualty any more.
When Holby first started it was like the poor cousin, how it's head and shoulders above this Casualty rubbish.

Connie I used to love but I hate the way she's treating her daughter, though I do sympathise up to a point. Generally she's gone down in my estimations ( I also quite like Jacob and he deserves a medal ) She's still better than Elle imo, who comes across as someone who doesn't have a clue how to lead or deal with things.
