Yeah I really enjoyed this episode and dont see the problem with Sam and Tom.

Ian looked really sinister at the end, can see him playing with tom and sams emotions even more now. Wont surprise me if we see Tom punching someone else soon
i just think theyre cringe and dont have that much chemistry. i think sam has more chemistry with ian

So if they didn't "bump" the thread, you wouldn't know it was on?

I tend to keep my views about Tess and Fletch reserved for the appreciation thread now. I kind of got the impression people were getting tired of it on here.
There's a Tess & Fletch appreciation thread ?

Who comes up with this garbage ?

The 2 plumbers were Bradley Branning [EE] & Terry from Emmerdale.

The husband (with the money) was previously in Doctors (Dr Nick West). I thought he looked ridonkulas with that haircut.

While I don't condone rudeness, I fail to see the point of an appreciation thread. Surely the whole point of an episode discussion is to debate? An appreciation thread surely just has people agreeing that something is good? If that's the case, it seems a little bit unnecessary.

it was made because people complained in here for the discussion on them taking over the thread.

if that was the case what would be the point of the appreciation forum and all the other appreciation threads.

I haven't read any of the appreciation forums. I was just vaguely wondering what the point of them is. I wouldn't see the point in discussing a TV show where everyone felt the same way about something.

well there are groups of fans of couples and characters if you like. people just like to chat to other fans of the same characters and share their *love* for them if you wish.

Thank you. Well said.

We took the discussion elsewhere because people did complain, now people are finding it absurd that appreciation threads exist.

You just can't win with some people!

Someone who thought it was more polite and considerate not to clog up the main thread with all things 'Tess & Fletch' and annoy other posters who just want to talk about Casualty in general.

There is therefore no need to be rude about what that person did by calling what they did "'garbage' with added smilie" attached to it. It goes against the spirit of DS's terms and conditions:

4. USE OF THE DISCUSSION FORUMS BY YOU

4.1. These Terms have been put in place to help ensure that the Discussion Forum is a welcoming and useful resource for all users. These Terms outline what is deemed unacceptable behaviour and it is important to read them carefully.

4.2. Users of the Discussion Forums warrant and undertake that they will not:

post a personal insult about another user;
post material that is deliberately intended to upset other users.

You can express your opinions about things w/o being rude or expressing it in a way that does upset other users.

As one of those who was less than happy with the Tess/Fletch stuff in this thread, might I thank you for that move.

You certainly can.

This response is a lot more pleasant than the previous one I got.

------------------------

As for lastnight's episode, I enjoyed it. I knew what was coming with Tom and Sam but I can't lie that the way Sam proposed to him was sweet. I look forward to the aftermath with Iain. He's not a happy bunny. It was good to see Charlie Clements on TV again.

Jeff and Dixie in the ED..I hope they never ever do it again. I found it difficult to adjust to seeing them there, and for me personally, it didn't work. I know they were training or 'refreshing skills' but please, no more. Thank god Charlie said he'd 'sign' them off. I presume they did it for CPD points.

Stick to your nice comfy ambulances after this.

Hey - I haven't posted anything on this forum for absolutely ages but I just had to read this thread to see if anyone has commented on Robyn's inability to keep her mouth shut - blabbing secrets to patients, posting comments about the hospital on twitter, calling that amnesty for immigrants group and now not being able to keep quiet about Tom and Sam. Does she not really annoy anyone else with her immaturity and lack of thought?

I disliked Robyn in last night's episode, but for a completely different reason (though that annoyed me). I was cross with her because she said that she'd make sure Geoffrey wasn't disturbed, and the next second that woman's husband had come in, so she clearly wasn't doing her job properly.

Also with regards to the appreciation thread thing, I hope no one thought that I was being rude. I know it was mainly to do with what the other user said (which I can't speak for), but I genuinely found it odd that someone wanted an appreciation thread. I would have thought that the whole point of an episode discussion would be to debate, discuss and consider different viewpoints and interpretations of things, and it strikes me as a little odd that there is a thread simply for people of one opinion.

She annoys me at times. I think she does genuinely mean well...she just goes about it all the wrong way.

I'm surprised she's not been reprimanded for her silliness before now to be honest. I think it's definitely something that will happen in the future.

I really hope so! I'm sure I remember her being called into Tess' office for a telling off not long after she joined. Maybe next time she'll get something more formal.

She's already on a warning (well, 'yellow card') for calling that amnesty group and breeching patient confidentality. I can't say I'm annoyed, just irritated by it because I do like Robyn. Unfortunately, it is part of her character.

I also thought Jeff and Dixie in ED gave the episode a strange vibe that I couldn't engage with it as much. It felt like a bit of a lull episode.

I thought what Sam did in the end was kind of (just about) sweet, even though all that bended knee stuff can only go three ways for me: cringe, emotionally detached or beautiful. Maybe it's because I find Sam the stronger, more believable character of the two (i.e. between Tom and Sam). And then there's Iain knowing how to plant seeds and play mind games with Tom, and Tom not being that clued up to see it all for what it is.

They are purely for 'fans' of these characters where groups of people who like them can discuss them together.

Even on these appreciation threads (and there are an awful lot of them), people still disagree, just because they are for the same group doesn't mean they have to have the same opinion. That'd be stupid.

The world would be incredibly boring if everyone liked the same, after all.

Back onto Casualty anyway....

No Tess and Fletch this week, but still that's all tats talked about. Urgh. I'm indifferent to the storyline, it's tiring having it dissected here even when it's not on screen.

Anyway, so pleased for Sam and Tom. But it's going to end in tears isn't it. I imagine Toms rage/anger issues will return once Ian finds out which buttons to press...

Did she actually breech patient confidentiality on that occasion? I can't remember...

What I remember correctly is that she gave information about the patient, while keeping his identity anonymous. The amnesty group then tricked her into revealing that he was still there when they arrived:

Rachel: I'm looking for the asylum seeker.
Robyn: How did you know about that?
Rachel: I didn't, but I do now. Thanks.

Then with everything that was going on with him and Jamie in the staff room, it became obvious very quickly who it was. I don't remember Robyn breeching confidentiality.

I the main problem I have with Robyn is the actrocious acting from the 'actress' playing her.

That wasn't the time she breached confidentiality. She told a husband where his wife was going (even though the wife was having an affair with his boss) which led to an accident at a farm I think.
