what...... are the writters for real

The thing is I do think Ffion would cheat on Jinx. She hasn't always been the saint she has been portrayed as recently. The problem is leaving the Arwen situation unresolved on a permanent basis leaves her being with Jinx as the only real option. That is if they insist they are writing a character rather than plot driven soap.

I hope this is a red herring. Honestly the only thing that makes actual sense is for Sheryl and Gethin to end up back together.

Looks like they officially ended any possibility for Gethin and Sheryl. So more of Hwyel and Sheryl.

Why can't we have one couple that makes sense? Is that too much to ask. I am tired of them smacking people together to be shocking. I think there were a few ways to pair up some of the single characters that actually made sense. I can't understand why they didn't take the opportunity to do that.

I really can't with this show. They've gone from boring and dull to downright unwatchable. Please, please bring in some fresh blood for new stories, new relationships, new conflicts. Stirring the same few people around and around and around is just... blech.

Well in fact they did bring in the teenager and her father. The problem is there are no regular characters that girl's age for her to interact with. Its going to be another storyline about Ffion lying about a baby and an adult character being the father in an off screen romance. I don't understand the need to repeat that storyline, it wasn't successful the first time around.

None of the juveniles in PYC are regular characters, though. Elliw could interact with Ricky and Courtney. The main problem with Elliw is that she can't act, and she looks about 40!

The actress who plays Elliw is much older than she is supposed be playing. I've seen her in other things. I would guess she's mid twenties. Likely they are keeping her around. The other juveniles aren't regular characters because they are in fact kids and probably can't be regulars due to school etc.

Its likely the father of her baby is one of the younger male cast members Gethin or DJ. They are about 30. Is Elliw even supposed be over the age of consent? If she is Courtney's age she's 15 or so. And it would have happened off screen, with no indication any of the regular characters were interested in her.

Why couldn't they bring in this actress to play a character her own age? As people have said they need new blood. Why would they even consider doing another storyline like the last one with Macs? I that was very unsuccessful IMO.

I don't know if this will be of interest to anyone on here but last Monday Radio Cymru broadcast a production of Under Milk Wood in Welsh (Dan y Wenallt) performed by the cast of Pobol y Cwm. Wow I just couldn`t believe St Sions hypocrisy in Thursdays PYC. After being found out he stole 20 grand from Bethania, he justified it by saying moral law was above the law of the land.
St Megan isn`t going to be pleased either.

I am quite tired of St. Sion. It's now gotten ridiculously unbelievable. People should have turned on him over a year ago. The thing is I don't think anything will happen with this storyline. Something should have occurred over last year's Christmas episode when Macs had the breakdown. It didn't and there have been so many ridiculous things that Sion has done since. The writers are searching around for a big storyline- I can't believe they haven't done anything with this situation with Sion months ago.

sderr....what made me so angry about it is that St Sion gave Huw a massive lecture on honesty when Huw took money from that cult. If only Huw could see him now and call him out on his hypocrisy.

It no longer makes me angry, its just laughable now. This would never go on like this with the unending open ended hypocrisy on a massive scale that has hurt every member of Sion's family. As I say Iolo and Brit should have turned on him last Christmas but didn't.

All I can say is what a poor choice of the writers to allow all these massive unfinished storylines revolve around the White family. The writing has gotten super contrived to work around these huge plot holes. They really need to address these things head on, instead of giving us the stupid Hwyel/Sheryl affair and the handbag storyline.

I am still hoping that the writers will have a story of St Sion at Christmas questioning his faith, and his own hypocrisies and failings as a husband and father, and apologising to all at Y Deri. I`ll probably end up disappointed as usual though.
With that beard St Sion is sporting, he probably imagines he`s Jesus. Even at Halloween he couldn`t resist and wore druid robes like was the new messiah.

Honestly this storyline with Sion shouldn't be about Megan. The real people Sion has hurt are his family, Macs and Brit in particular. The entire White family should converge on Cwm Deri to confront him when he gets caught out. Iolo's OCD should kick up again etc. It's not going to happen though, likely it will be about the lies Sion told Megan and Miec.
