I haven't watched this show in weeks. Looks like I'm not missing anything. I still can't believe they just dropped the OCD storyline after making such a huge deal of a secret in Iolo's past that was yet to be revealed. Maybe the story wasn't popular or something so they cut it short.

I'm on last Thursday's episode. The Gaynor/Hywel/Sheryl storyline is annoying but hopefully that's done with now.

I hope Iolo's OCD storyline isn't just done with now. Maybe he'll have a relapse over Christmas? Christmas can be a stressful time. I like his friendship with Gethin and I'm glad this has been shown again recently.

I doubt it is anything to do with the character or the storyline. Its been an issue ever since I've been watching that storylines have beginnings middles and no endings. Instead very often things just are stopped mid-stream. Its a persistent problem that I really wish would be worked on, it would greatly improve the soap. I doubt there are many people who find the Hwyel/Sheryl/Gaynor love triangle more interesting than Iolo's OCD.

I do. Personally Iolo bores the absolute bleep out of me.

Sorry to hear that I think many did connect with that storyline.
I haven't watched in the last week or so. I find the whole Sheryl/Hwyel thing insufferably dull. I have trouble believing the whole sexual chemistry love at first sight thing between Hwyel and a woman he's known for over ten years. Those characters have no emotional connection, nothing happened to make them want to suddenly be together. It just doesn't ring true to me that Hwyel just suddenly noticed Sheryl is attractive and now wants to sleep with her.

The handbag storyline, that's another one, I can't care about. I can't think of any crime where I would care less if anyone was caught. The price of handbags is so inflated that no wonder people try to bend the law. I certainly hope no one goes to prison over this.

I'd make an exception for the writers.

I`m really hoping we have a future "Who Killed Moc' storyline where a lot of the characters are in the frame for it. If only one character deserves their comeuppance - it`s him.
Although I won`t be holding my breath anytime soon waiting for it. Even Mac`s rapist Scott didn`t get the comeuppance he deserved.

Yeah, this is what I meant when I said the writers never fully finish storylines. Its OK to take a break from a storyline to keep things fresh, but there are far too many unresolved storylines. They are searching for things to write about- why not work on conclusions and endings to storylines that deserve them? We've mentioned a few I would add the recent Gemma storyline to the mix as well.

I don't think her storyline is finished do you? That doesn't mean that she'll necessarily be back.

I agree - that's 2 stories just there that need to be resolved somehow. I'm still angry at how fast Macs' exit was and then no follow up from last Christmas.

Another storyline that needs resolution is the question of Arwen's paternity. Jinx has not Legally adopted Arwen. I think he needs to, if not his custody of Arwen needs to be in jeopardy at some point.

If Ffion is going back to her old ways as it looks she might, let's not have no one even bother to tell Macs on the grounds he is just so evil. It doesn't make sense any more. Gwyneth the murderer is raising her son and St. Sion fought for her to be able to so.

sderr...is Jinx listed as Father on Arwen`s birth certificate?
I`m still thinking it`s Hywel who is the father of Arwen as he seemed to be the only compatible donor when Arwen was sick. I know Macs couldn`t help as he has hep B, but I can`t remember if he was even tested to be a compatible donor.
It`s Jinx I feel sorry for in all this.

Those spoilers sound incredibly dull! Most soaps are gearing up towards big Christmas storylines by now, but where are PYC's?

Jinx is the father listed on the birth certificate but Ffion was using deception at the time. Macs never formally consented. There has never been any legal consent for any of this. There isn't even a legal determination of the biological father because under the circumstances on PYC you would need a DNA test. There has never been one with Macs, and you are right Macs never had the donor test.

I feel for Jinx too and I think he is Arwen's father in every way that matters. However, they never have addressed the issue properly. If Ffion ends up going back to prior behavior, I think this needs to be addressed. Ffion really isn't the saintly victim compared to the possibilities for Arwen's biological father. She deliberately tried to cheat someone out of their biological child.
