So Anthony, this episode was pretty boring I have to say. DJ came over to see Iolo and asked if he called William. He hadn't, so DJ dialed him and hung up so William would call back. Everyone forgot Iolo's birthday except for Sion and Britt. He's 27 btw. DJ felt bad so Jinx, Gethin and DJ are organizing a surprise birthday for Friday. Iolo set up a date with William for Friday.

I think the birthday party is going to be a set up for the love square of Kelly. Jinx, Ffion and Gethin. Ffion is jealous and is trying to get rid of Kelly. Jinx set up Kelly and Gethin on a disastrous date in the pub. This is possibly an OK storyline if they run with it but the show has the habit of just stopping things.

Sioned bought the taxi company with the Garry's money she found in a field at the farm. A horrible storyline I am sure will go on for too long.

I completely agree. Meic's illness and the way the other characters, particularly Anita, are behaving towards him seems to be well written but it is being spoilt by other storylines that are either completely unbelievable (eg Sioned and the money) or I couldn't care less about (eg Hywel's affair)

I would not even call the money storyline with Sioned a real storyline. Its more just a clumsy plot devise to set up future storylines. One of the things I've noticed lately is how many of the storylines involving Garry are happening entirely off screen. The writers are depending on the viewers knowing that Garry has done bad things in the past rather fleshing out an actual story. It doesn't work for me.

Grrrr todays show on Clic has the subtitles all out of sync in the second part of the episode.
It`s completely unwatchable, so I reported it. Fingers crossed it gets sorted out soon.

Hi Anthony, I haven't had the chance to watch the whole thing yet. I did skim it because I knew you would ask. Iolo and William did kiss, it was sweet but seemed a bit awkward. Otherwise I was disappointed to see that Iolo's birthday party was mostly not about Iolo but other couples.

I wonder at the fate of any of these recent addition characters. I think that they are going to all be reoccurring rather than full cast members. Storyline decisions seem to be made based on money and what's not going to cost too much rather than what's good for the show.

Anyone watch PYC on the IPlayer App on Virgin on TV? I can't get the subtitles to work Anyone else have this problem or have a solution? Thanks

I don't use the app, but I have a feeling that the problem is that the subtitles are not hard coded on the iplayer version. S4/C has a version of PYC with hard coded subtitles so that people can watch PYC with subs on a tablet. Can you get clic on Virgin TV?

There isn't clic but there is youtube so I may be able to watch via that with sub titles. Do PYC episodes get uploaded to youtube

It's quite frustrating as there is a subtitles option which I ok and it says I am watching with subtitles but there aren't any I can get subtitles for other BBC programmes which isn't actually helpful as I speak English

The problem could be that you are running into bad subtitles or missing subtitles on iplayer. Which unfortunately happens often

Part of me thinks that Gaynor will tell Hwyel that she faked Arwen's paternity test to get revenge. Its something Gaynor would have done. Then another part of me thinks they won't go there because it would be too interesting.

The whole money storyline with Garry is getting worse by the minute. Gethin now is living with Ffion and Jinx because he owes Garry back the money. Do they even bother to tell us what this money was for? Nope.

So we are going to have months and month of a storyline about Garry's stolen money and they'll never even bother to tell the viewers why Garry was doing a money exchange in a field in the first place. Talk about writing a cheap and lazy storyline.

What has never made sense to me is if Garry is so good at wheeling and dealing why does he live in such a small flat?

Was it ever explained why Garry was in China? I missed most of the episodes around that time. I know that was when the handbags appeared but I assume he didn't go all that way just to send back one van-load of bags?
