No they never explained why Garry went to China. I always assumed it was because I know you can buy counterfeit and black market goods there.

I don't think they are going to explain what Garry is doing. Its just a lazy plot device to set up these implausible situations. Its so transparently because they lack money and having Garry doing dodgy things off screen is a cheap way to set up action.

Spoiler for next week:
Spoiler
Pobol y Cwm

Garry’s determined to get Sioned to admit she was responsible for stealing his money, so he steals the Deri Deithio taxis. In revenge, Sioned breaks into the garage and steals all the keys – can the two of them sort out their differences?

Kelly sees Ffion and Gethin looking suspiciously close outside the garage, and Kelly looks for evidence to prove they are having an affair. Ffion then pleads with Gethin to look for somewhere else to live but Gethin explains there’s no way he can do this because he is in love with her.

Hywel can’t choose between Sheryl and Gaynor but when he realises that time is running out, he admits his affair to Gaynor and begs her to forgive him. How will she respond, especially after discovering Sheryl’s situation?

So is Sheryl pregnant or not? Sounded very rehearsed to me, I think she wants to trap Hwyel. The episode confirmed what we've been saying, Hwyel only cared about having sex not about Sheryl in any meaningful way.

I'm starting to think you might be right to suggest that she isn't really pregnant. It's only 2-3 weeks since Rhys said that Hywel had always wanted another child. I doubt she could have got pregnant in that time but it would be plenty of time to order a fake test kit such as http://www.amazon.com/Prank-Pregnanc.../dp/B00LZA4AHI

If she is pregnant its definitely a planned rather than an accidental pregnancy. I don't have any real love for Gaynor, Hwyel or Sheryl, but Sheryl does my head in the most. I don't understand why a middle aged woman with her own business wants to trap a man who doesn't love her. From the very beginning of this affair its been clear that Hwyel has no real feelings for Sheryl.

I hope William isn't married or something. The show has already done that with Iolo. Something different please!

I agree. Just in the few scenes I saw, it's all about sex for him. I don't get why Sheryl wants him anyway. Seems way too plot-oriented. But then this show sudden has everybody dating or hooking up with everybody else. Yeesh.

I think its going to be that William is investigating Sion's embezzlement from the chapel. There was an episode you probably missed where one of the chapel members wanted to do an audit of the chapel funds. That scenario fits what we've been seeing with Iolo, Sion and the OCD better.

They have no money. I wish that they would try to hide the fact that they make storyline decisions on the basis of what is cheap. Everyone has caught on, which can't be good for the show.

Was that the last episode of Lan a Lawr yesterday? It doesn't seem to be on next week, there's an hour long drama "Porthpenwaig" instead.

Well its been confirmed that Sheryl did plan her pregnancy to trap Hwyel. I don't know about anyone else but that character pretty much played out. Its always the same, she chases bad men, they hurt her she does it again. She's gone and trapped a man who doesn't love her. I don't care much for Hwyel and Gaynor but they love each other in their way. Hwyel will resent her and her child doesn't deserve this.

They recast Chester, the actor looks much older

I didn't have a chance to watch last week. Was there anything of import with Iolo? I don't think so, but thought I'd ask.

I think it's weird that Sheryl would use pregnancy to trap a man as if men still marry their baby mamas these days.

I must admit to only scanning most of last week's episodes. Iolo was in Thursday's episode talking to DJ about Cadno.

Rhys told Sheryl the only thing Hwyel ever wanted was another child. That's why she's chosen to get pregnant. Sheryl is an imbecile, but she is written consistently. She has these ridiculously outdated views on women. Apparently Sheryl needs to have some worthless man by her side or she's incomplete. Hwyel won't leave Gaynor, but its totally in character for Sheryl to believe that he will.

The lad who plays the new Chester has been on Gwaith/Cartref recently playing Liam, the lad who took alcohol and fireworks on the Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition. You have to be at least 14 to do Duke of Edinburgh Award, which means Liam must be in year 10 or above. In PYC I thought Ricky was in either year 10 or 11 and I thought Chester was quite a bit younger than him. I always thought Chester was nearer to Will's age. But the lad who plays Will is also in G/C playing a year 7 pupil. It's a bit confusing!

Yeah I noticed it was the actor from G/C. I think that are getting ready to do a bigger storyline with Sion and Whites about the money stolen from the chapel. They must have wanted a more experienced actor for Chester.

Was that the young lad who had a crush on on one of the teachers? I knew I`d seen him somewhere!!!
Gawith/Cartref and PYC seems to be swapping characters lately. Maybe we`ll see Rhydian Ellis in PYC next week.

As for William possibly checking on St Sions dishonesty, my jaw dropped. And now it all makes sense. I never thought of that angle with William being in the police force.
Its very similar to Yvonne Evans tracking Garry Monk a few years ago. But I love this scenario with William and St Sion....especially as it could mean William being a permanent character.
