Well for those who follow this storyline I don't think Iolo has left for good, at least not yet. Today's storyline didn't seem finished and I didn't see a twitter or Facebook announcement about Dyfan Rees. As far as storyline went it was a lot of stuff we've seen before. Makeup stuff with William, Sion interfering and Iolo and Sion fighting. As far as the Iolo and Sion stuff went it was pretty mild compared to what it has been in the past. It really didn't seem like a character exit storyline.

Ffion's storyline seems to be the storyline with the most potential to get interesting.

I don't think Dyfan Rees (Iolo) can be leaving in the near future as he is at the Royal Welsh Show today representing PYC.

Advance notice: PYC is on Monday to Thursday next week (no Friday episode). It won't be on at all the following week (1st week in August) as it's the National Eisteddfod

So after all that Iolo and William ended up not leaving after all. I'm glad about that, but I do wish we'd seen more of their reunion and had it be romantic instead of about Sion. I mean, William came over to get back together, Iolo didn't commit one way or another, then he found out about Sion and went over to tell him they were going. At least William called Iolo out on his reasons for the move. I'm glad they didn't go, but they are still being manipulated by Sion, who won't give up until he's broken them up.

I wonder if Ffion will end up hurting her baby because of her boozing. Letting her baby cry while she thought about drinking seemed like foreshadowing.

Sheryl's revenge on Gaynor was bitchy and fun. I didn't know Sheryl could be so nasty. Hwyel is no prize though.

Sion is a character they really need to do something about. His comeuppance is a long time in coming. Obviously Iolo and William are connected to whatever is going on with Sion and have been since the beginning. I suppose its Sion whose had the huge character transformation and Iolo hasn't and that's where the conflict. They're taking a long time getting there.

I agree about Ffion. However, the story of her and Arwen will fall flat if there is not any recasting. I get that its all about the money situation at s4/c, but it seems to me this child has an abundance of fathers and nearby relations and none of them care about her well being. Its not believable in the slightest.

For purely superficial reasons I am glad they didn't lose two of the attractive young male characters. The cast is so small right now, it would be a shame to see most of the young actors leave as they aren't being replaced.

I was thinking as I was watching last week that I could not stand to watch Sion White without at least one of his sons around to mellow that character out a bit.

I just saw a tweet from the show, featuring some of the actors saying they are going back to airing five episodes a week.

Thanks Sderr and Anthony. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I've really enjoyed having Welsh drama other than PyC to watch midweek. I suppose if they manage to keep it high quality then an extra episode will be good but if the story lines drop back to the standard it's been at for most of the past year then I think I'd probably prefer something else in that slot!

I know what you mean. When I first heard the news I wondered whether they should have put the money into hiring and production. I guess as I read their press release that BBC Wales offered to produce the 5th weekly episode. I am not clear myself the relationship between s4/c and BBC Wales? It seems as though the assistance of the BBC is for the production of a 5th episode and not for other purposes.
