Actually I didn't see Gemma as manipulative last week. I don't think Cadno has feelings for DJ romantically. I've never seen her do anything but use DJ to work on the farm and take him for granted. Don't always like Gemma but I think all she did was tell the truth. DJ moving away from the farm would probably happened without Gemma.

I understand what you mean and in all honesty I really like Gemma and have disliked Cadno since I started watching. I think her relief when she heard that DJ had stuck to their story in court was awful and her attitude to his sacrifice ever since has been poor to say the least.

I think what I meant was they showed her sweetly talking him into going back to hers and going away with her (and she threw away the things she offered to send DJ on behalf of Cadno the other week) and thought this was intended to look manipulative. I then wondered whether the writers are aiming to pit Gemma againist Cadno and whether Gemmas mental health would play into it.

Plus I am also glad Gemma dropped Cadno in it by forcing the truth out and Dai's reaction was perfect. I haven't seen Gemma at her worst so like you I might not always like her if I had

Oh I see what you are saying. Its a possibility that could happen. Gemma's certainly jealous of Cadno. But as they are doing 2 big stories the one with the gun and the cot death I think the other storylines are going to be smaller. That is usually the pattern on PYC. They made it too obvious there really isn't much of a contest between Cadno and Gemma.

Has the show done many long running stories in the past out of interest? I know I have read criticism about the shorter plots since the episode run was cut. Also how long have you watched PYC ?

I am in total agreement with sderr. I didn`t think what Gemma did was manipulative at all. She was well within her rights to blurt out what DJ did for Cadno. And I could see how much Gemma resented DJ going to jail for her. Cadno didn`t even seem grateful either that DJ sacrificed himself so that Cadno wouldn`t be parted from her kids. And as Dai pointed out, DJ can`t even get a visa for a passport now because of his prison record.

I can`t help but think that Cadno only wants DJ now because Gemma has him. She had her chance with DJ last year but she just thought about herself as usual.

It was good to see Debbie`s Mother Dol on Christmas Eve/Day. I wouldn`t want her to be a full time character though. Just now and again is fine.

I can`t help but feel sorry for Garry. As much as I dislike Sion, Garry is wrong for putting the blame solely on Sion for Britt getting shot. It was Garry who made Sion keep the gun at Bethania.

By the way....does anyone know when Gwaith/Cartref is coming back please?

I did dislike Gemma for a while but I'm okay with her now. Seemed to me that she was only sticking up for DJ. Cadno's attitude was not very nice, she couldn't even bring herself to say thank you all she worried about was DJ coming back to work. I'm glad he decided to quit.

Don't feel sorry for Garry at all and definitely don't have any sympathy for Sion.

I can't stand Gemma and I don't like Cadno, DJ would be better of without either of them.

With Gary and Sion their both to blame.

The show has done many long running storylines in the past with some great characters.

Yes PYC has had many long running storylines in the past. The most recent long storyline was the one with Gethin and Moc. I think from the first time we saw Moc to the final episode was 2 years. The arson fire storyline was probably similar in length. The short storylines were unusual and I think due to lack of money. Now they are back to 5 nights a week and bigger storylines have returned.

Garry and Sion are both at fault. I am really enjoying seeing them suffer. After seeing them behave so badly for so long I find this storyline highly entertaining.

Gwaith/Cartref returns Jan. 20th with a new cast and location.

Cadno once again being angry. !!!!!! Dull Dull Dull.....Give us a break.

I still don't think Gethin and Moc is completely finished. I can see Daniel finding out as Gethin made it very clear that he must never know.

I find cadno boring all the time

I wish they would replace Cadno at the farm with new young family. Cadno is such miserable, unpleasant woman.

I've never understood her appeal. She was always awful. I can't believe Efion stayed with her for as long as he did. Now does she have 'real' feelings for DJ? Are we to care that she can't have him because he's with Gemma (no prize herself). Actually, it's a really terrible love triangle because there's no rooting value for any potential couple.

Cadno has no appeal. She's a legacy character with ties to past PYC characters so she's kept around when she shouldn't be.

Its not a love triangle either. I see no evidence of real feelings on Cadno's part. I saw a woman upset she had to muck out a shed without her indentured servant. I think its a storyline about Cadno manufacturing false feelings for DJ to get free labor. I don't see how this storyline can possibly go anywhere.

No Gemma, No Grug, no Becca, no Wyn, no Brynmor, no Gwen, no Sian or Aled. I just hope they are the same writers. That will at least be something to look forward to.

A new family, and Efion can go with Cadno, Bobi and Arthur. I`d want Anti Marion to stay though,
I`ve never known a more miserable woman as Cadno...nothing ever pleases her. If she ever got everything she wanted = she still wouldn`t be happy. She loves to wallow in her own misery.
Cadno may have history in PYC, but so do a lot of another characters too. Meic had a lot of history too - so did Denzil. And they were both killed off. And even now I still miss them both. I couldn`t say the same for Cadno if she ever left.

Well now I don't where things are going to go. I can't see Britt's complete unquestioning loyalty to Garry lasting forever. He's got to be found out at some point.

Where's that gangster Craig, the one who threatened all the children? He had some big plan with the gun.

Yeh I wonder too.. with the gun now in police custody and his name left out of things maybe Craig is steering clear?

She's in hospital. Disappointed she's not dead and Chester isn't featured more as her murderer?

Agree about Cadno wouldn't be missed. She and Gemma two awful women DJ deserves so much better.
