You're welcome Wavlovr I think Wyn went into partnership with David in order to get back into Dani's good books after he betrayed her trust and lied to her. It's a shame Jac and Carys didn't get together, I thought they'd make a good couple.

Have you seen the latest episodes yet? It ended on a huge cliffhanger. No more episodes now until the middle of September!

Thanks Malwen. I just finished watching RAR.. I was heartbroken for Gareth. That spiteful girl Kylie and her friend are partly to blame too in my opinion for their part in all of this. They knew how volatile Gareth was, and they bullied him. I`m not excusing what Gareth did for one minute. His whole life is ruined now for one senseless act.. I really hope that Alwena pulls through.

Yesterday`s PYC was excellent too. Poor Cadno. I hope she pulls through - especially as she finally found happiness at long last, Poor DJ too. My heart goes out to him.
If Cadno doesn`t pull through it will be the end of an era at Penhwryl Farm.

The continuity on Pobol is bizarre at the moment. Cadno had that tractor accident on Monday (originally Friday) but hasn't been seen since. Hywel reported Esther to the Home Office nearly a week ago, but the authorities only intervened last night. Sara's hair randomly went straight the other day, now it's back to corkscrew curls!

To be perfectly honest the fact that Ed is staying with Sioned because he stalked another woman, killed her boyfriend and let Mark take the fall makes this whole thing very unrealistic. Not to mention the fact that Ed slept with Sioned's sister right before their wedding.

I don't think most people are staying in abusive relationships because they've killed someone.

I thought something big was coming with Ed and Sioned - good to see them portray this.

Do you remember a few years ago when Gaynor hit Hwyel and gave him a black eye. She also pushed Macs up against a wall at one point. I thought they were going to that storyline then. They probably should have, it would have been a better storyline.

I don't remember that....

Could this be a way of 'redeeming' Ed (by making him a victim who we sympathise) in the eyes of the viewers after making him a murderer?

I actually thought they might do a similar storyline but with Sioned trying to get pregnant....

Yes I guess so. It might be a way of keeping him around. I suppose they did a similar thing with Macs making him a victim. I guess I think there were differences.

I only started watching PYC when Macs was raped so never knew how bad a person he was.

I've always liked Ed so it's going to be interesting.

I think its more that I think Sioned has more of a reason to be really enraged at Ed. The stuff that Scot brought up about Izzy wasn't about him until later on in the story when they got together. I suppose it depends will Sioned be as extreme as Scott?

I guess we'll have to see how it plays out. I have never been able to like Gwyneth since Brandon died.

Are you talking about what Scott did to Macs?

Yes I was talking about what Scott did Macs and how it made him more sympathetic. I think it was because Scott was way out of line with what he did.

I think if any character had a rape storyline, it would change the viewers views of them, even just a bit, as it's the worst thing the writers could write for the character could go through.

I guess here's the issue.

Ed's only agreed to marry Sioned and stay with her because he's killed someone and let someone else take the fall for it. That's why he's gotten himself in to this toxic situation. If he hadn't killed Dewi he would leave. Its also the thing that's provoking Sioned into physical violence. I am not saying hurting someone is justified. Just that murder is one heck of a provocation. Not exactly the typical situation.

Yeh if Sioned didn't know about Dewi, he would probably leave....although that would go against DV situations as the question is usually asked about why don't victims just leave - it's not as simple as that.

Yes that's the point I was trying to make. I probably didn't make that much sense.

Sioned could've gone to the police at any time. She still could. Using Dewi's manslaughter (it's questionable whether that was murder IMO) as a plot device to tell a domestic abuse story is really tacky.

I agree its kind of tacky. It doesn't make sense that she stayed with him. Does it to you? This situation is so far fetched- that's the real issue. Yes I am sure these events would drive a person to violence. Unless you're part of the mafia - how realistic is this situation?

I agree about the use of the Dewi storyline, but the way the DV storyline has been written so far has been good - I was shocked when Sioned spat at Ed.
