I'm sick to death of this story. I know it goes on a long time in real life but as a story it just never goes anywhere. Endless scenes of Sioned humiliating Ed is boring as well as depressing.

It not going to end soon. Ed's done some horrible things to Mark and Vicky. With Mark ending up ill in hospital if Ed admitted killing Dewi now the village would really turn on him. His treatment would not be better than what he's been getting from Sioned. So this will go on and on. This is why I never liked this contrived situation in the first place.

Only on Tuesday's episode but I like the Sioned/Ed stuff. Sioned has always been like this with men (although I've only watched since 2011) and it seems to be quite natural development because Ed feels like he can't stand up to her because of what she threatens him with and that is slowly creeping into his psyche now.

So Ed said no to sex with Sioned...she made him do it anyway...word beginning with r is springing to mind...

Yeh - although she didn't technically force him, he hasn't got any free will (because she threatens to tell the police), and that makes it rape.
It's harrowing to watch, but it's good to portray that women can also be the abusers.
But then Ed once again goes an attacks a person who has nothing to do with his problems and came close to killing Gwyneth. So I don't know what to make of this whole thing. What Sioned did wouldn't justify what Ed did.

That's not what happened. Gwyneth's disinterest and tough love approach to Ed earlier in the day was playing on his mind, and what Sioned made him do pushed him over the edge. It's only when those people came along and interrupted what he was doing that he suddenly realised the gravity of what he was doing. In short, he's going mad, but it's logical.

It may be logical but if he completed what he had started and bashed Gwyneth's head in with a brick I am not sure it would have been forgivable. Look I am not Gwyneth's biggest fan but what she did was logical too given Sion's state of mind.

Ed manages to do unforgivable things when stressed, and to people who don't have much connection to what's happening in his life. Which is a problem for me feeling sympathy for him.
