What happened with Dewi was unintentional, but at the end of the day at happened, and the guilt must be driving him crazy. Coupled with Sioned's emotional bullying, it's easy to see why Ed's mental health is not what it was. I wouldn't say I sympathise with him but I can understand why he's behaving erratically. Many times we've seen him be nice but Sioned just won't let him move on. She is in fact the prison he so fears.

Yeah I do think it was the R word. However, I feel very conflicted about Ed because I do think he belongs in jail. I understand he is very stressed and felt provoked. I could understand lashing out at the people who have provoked you. So I did feel sympathy when Macs punched the guy who called him a poof or for Sheryl when she hit Kevin. I even can understand somewhat how Gwyneth got enraged enough at Garry to start that fire.

But Ed really does get himself tangled up in situations with people who are minding their own business create conflict with them. Then he takes out his stress in a violent way. I just can't see a place for that kind of behavior in society.

Well I am not staying up at night about it, but I've got problems with the way this story is being told. Can't say that I don't.

Yeah but, and I say this with respect not nastiness, you seem to have a problem with every story. For as long as I've known you I don't think I've ever heard you say one positive thing about Pobol.

Last night aside, Ed is a challenging character - I like him more now he needs sympathy and I think the actor is playing it all very well. It works probably more because Sioned is such an unlikeable character (even more so in this storyline).

However, what happened in last night's episode was rape, and I don't think anything should take away from what that has done to Ed.

I like Iolo's storyline, you hate and see it as abusive. With respect and no nastiness it isn't meant to be a domestic abuse storyline.

Yeah I do think it's abusive. Iolo spends most of the time having a go at Tyler, who can't do right for doing wrong. The whole Meleri storyline was nonsense. I mean if she really was gay, why was she talking to that random guy before she opened up to Iolo, as if she was up to something? And then that just fizzled out into nothing and no context was given to said random guy's involvement. Poor continuity.

I would have preferred a more realistic domestic abuse storyline. There are moments I feel sympathy for Ed. But its hard when add in some of the stuff he's done. I was feeling bad for him until he pick up the brick.

I know Sioned is unsympathetic but some of the things Ed does would fuel a person to violent rage and revenge seeking.

If you can criticise that storyline what is wrong with me finding problems with the domestic abuse storyline.

You say I have nothing positive to say about Pobol but I believe we had a conversation a few weeks ago where i defended Gethin and felt bad for him. I think I just dislike stoylines you like. Is that possibly true you think.

Because I like to think I praise Pobol as much as criticise it. No soap is perfect. Yeah, that could be perfectly possible. Be a boring world if we all agreed!

I like Chester as well even though he is a rotter. I like the issue driven storylines - liked Gethin's storyline and Ffion's alcoholism.

I do have problems with some of the storylines going on way too long, Sheryl/Hwyel and Sion's storylines are problems because they have been going on for years.

Sheryl/Hwyel is an example of making characters the worst they can be and then trying to revive any kind of popularity - that's what's been happening this past year.

I also like issue-driven storylines - Gethin's in particular is good. I'm waiting until we see Daniel finding out about Moc - it's bound to happen.

Pobol has really picked up amazing acting

Sheryl/Hwyel what is there to say. I have never seen anyone praise that couple or want them together and yet they still are.

They should hire some new younger actors. If there was some chance of breaking up couples- or moving some stories along a bit that would be good. I think they should recast one of Sion's sons. That would be a definite catalyst for some storylines and it would be realistic

Macs really needs to return. He has loads of family in the show and Tyler needs a teacher friend

Iolo and Tyler are on/off constantly. How long before the rings come off again? Good to see the Mel storyline wrapped up, though.

Ed is traumatised but still no excuse for attacking Gwyneth. Okay yes, she was insensitive but she didn't deserve that! Sioned is basically Rob from The Archers. Will she end up stabbed on the kitchen floor?

It was good to see Dol in last night's episode, she always makes me laugh and I like that I don't really need subtitles when she talks. Can we have some more Wenglish characters please?

That's my point exactly. I don't like Gwyneth much but she had an excuse to be insensitive because Sion is having some sort of break down.

Yeah it was just a way of getting rid of Ed. She doesn't want Sion being brought down by Ed when he's got enough problems of his own.

Still, saying "man up" is harsh. However, that is how a lot of people react when the subject of men being domestically abused is brought up, so it's entirely accurate.

Gwyneth says similar to Sion- that's the way she is. She's not my fav character.

Why would Ed seek out someone in the middle of a public break down for help with his domestic abuse that's the question.

I think it's meant to show that Ed is near breaking point.
