If she survived though, they could go down the cheesy route and have her forget because of her head injuries, only to have flashbacks and remember bits further down the line - by which time some other factor may bring the Ed/Sioned story to an end anyway lol. Or Ed could be the one who pulls her out of the car shortly before rubble crushes the car/the car explodes etc. so she feels obliged not to say anything now because she's grateful to him.
I do see your logic in Courtney knowing so much that killing her off would extend the Ed/Sioned story yet further but seriously - does it really need extending? It's already been going for absolutely ages and I don't see how much more they can do with it. I think killing Courtney off would be a really big mistake. She's a legacy character - Jim's only child/daughter (that I'm aware of), and her unborn baby would be a legacy character, as well as connecting the Joneses with the Proberts. It would also effectively mean Angela could never return, which would also be a mistake. I really hope they don't go there!
