Wow that was the first sensible Iolo episode in a year. I didn't expect him to say as much as he did.

I agree, I thought the whole Kevin/Iolo/Colin set-up was PYC at its best - human, subtle drama with no histrionics, and everybody's individual takes on the situation taken into consideration.

Question does the entire village know about Scott and Macs? I wouldn't have thought Kevin would know. Do Jinx and Ffion know?

That changes the way I feel about everything now. What's wrong with people in village Cwm Deri that they think rape is no big deal.

I'm so sad we aren't seeing Iolo for the next few weeks now.

As proven by Gaynor contacting Sioned about supply teachers last night, the bosses at PYC just pick and choose who knows what depending on what they need to fit the story.

I like Sioned but seriously, she is either seen or mentioned in every single episode!

Yeah but if Kevin knows then you have to assume everyone does. Macs and Kevin were never friends - why would he tell him. Tonight was the first time I have ever heard Iolo say Scott raped Macs to anyone not related to Izzy.

I like Sioned too, she made sense coming up in this episode though both from Kevin and Iolo's stand point. I think they were making a point about the difference between what Iolo and what Kevin did. I agree with Iolo point of view of course.

I fast forwarded through the subtitles. I know some of the major plot points. I'll try to watch by tomorrow if you want to chat.

What did you think of tonight's PYC, if you saw it.

I saw Thursdays, but haven`t seen Fridays yet. It was a massive improvement compared to Wednesdays episode.
I always enjoy episodes when they go out on location, but it was so obvious the scenes were from October/November because of all the leaves still on the trees.

I noticed too that it was Oct. or November too lol. I enjoyed the episode because I thought it was a massive improvement in writing for Iolo. This is the character who Iolo is. That person who ran over Gethin, who told Sion about the Hep b and not Scott, who had to be convinced that child sexual abuse was a big deal, that just wasn't Iolo to me. It was good to see that he does care.

I can`t get the subtitles to work for me for some reason. And it didn`t show the subtitles message at the beginning of PYC like it usually does. Must be an oversight.

It worked for me earlier, did you try Iplayer? Subtitles are bad but better than nothing.

Just checked subs work for me on clic, on the beta version. I have to use the latest version of firefox for beta.

It worked great on Clic. Thanks sderr...much appreciated. I use Chrome as my browser. Firefox uses up too much memory on my PC for some reason.
I`m glad I got subtitles for that because I didn`t know Sioned was being hateful to Eileen. All I saw without subtitles was Sioned talking to her Mother in the car as Eileen was leaving for the airport. I thought all was forgiven. Now with subtitles it seems that`s not the case.

I really enjoyed the omnibus this evening, great viewing

And it was directed by huw chiswell, a very well known singer songwriter.

Yeah the subtitles are never very good on iplayer. I avoid using iplayer for pyc.

Tangled web Eileen is horrible to Jim, Sioned is horrible to Eileen. I don't know what to think in this family drama.

Good to know, it was very artistically filmed this week. Thursday and Friday's episodes looked gorgeous.

I have never understood why, as the BBC actually make the programme, their subtitles are so inferior to the ones found on S4C Clic. Half of the BBC subtitles seem to be missing, so why do they not use the same ones as S4C?

The only way to describe Eileen these days is 'a face like a smacked ar$e'. She is forever miserable lately. If only Eileen knew how lucky she was. A great business, a good fella, and a daughter she never thought she`d ever see again.
And all she seems to care about is Sioned being mad at her. Again she`s putting stroppy Sioned above everyone else. Then she goes away to Greece to get away from it all because she`s too gutless to take responsibility. Must be nice.
I used to like Eileen, but now I see how flawed she really is.

She's flawed like Sion is flawed. Its delayed pay back for treating Sioned so badly after her mental illness. Some time soon Sion will be paying for his behavior too.
