Why is Eileen in a coma and like the idea of this new character

Eileen isn't in a coma yet, so no idea. We'll have to wait and see. Somehow it looks like this argument with Sioned is involved somehow although this doesn't make sense (at least for me) yet.

Knowing your daughter is Sioned would put anyone in a coma.

No this argument with Sioned is rather boring and ordinary and as of Wednesday Sioned has agreed to try to work on the relationship with Eileen. So not seeing this putting anyone in a coma unless through some famously convoluted PYC plot twist.

Garry really is becoming a doormat. It's time he reminded us all that he is the hardest man in soap.

I would like to see a storyline with Iolo and Sion. So much has happened with Iolo and the White family and no one says anything. I know there was the hit and run and Sion helped Iolo (truthfully that was mostly Britt)but why must he agree with everything he does. I just don't see why Iolo wants Sion's life. He wants to act 25 years too old and not have his own life in order to please others? He should tell Sion off and get a life of his own.

sderr...I get the impression that Iolo is scared to find love now as he probably remembers what happened the last time he found a boyfriend - he ran over Gethin while texting his new love interest.
I don`t know who was writing for Iolo at the time, but the Iolo we know and love wouldn`t have been a coward. He would have gone to the police and taken his punishment. Had he seen jail time he would most likely be out of jail by now, and gotten on with his life.

Iolo had been drinking - that is why he didn't tell the police. Oh, that and the fact that Britt told him he'd be tossed around in prison as a plaything for the other inmates...

Do they have to stick with that coward storyline though? Someone has to say something to Sion... Iolo is only one who can. He knows everything but says nothing. Until he does he won't ever be his own man. And Sion can't continue this way..

How does Iolo live with the guilt of being the only son Sion is willing to forgive given all that? Its not eating him alive, I see no evidence of this.

I know much of this is dictated by the actors playing Macs and Huw wanting to leave, but they haven't handled it the right way at all. Big hole in the storylines.

It's not just the stories that are boring. The character are too. They need to bring in some strong characters who will put some life back in the show.

We've got a new character coming on Monday. If the writing for the characters is weak that shows up on screen. The writers have backed away from stuff that could be very strong and emotional. I am not sure I would blame the actors for this. Ffion, Iolo, Jinx, Sion, Garry, Kevin, Gethin, Eifion etc all have more in their past than is currently being shown to the audience. Its clearly the choice of someone to go the dull boring route. I think anyone of us on the forum could write a better storyline for any of those characters than we have now.

Not blaming the actors, all excellent. The viewers could write better stories because we know what we what to see unlike the writers.

I would be alright with the writers dumping all the current storylines and starting over. I am not excited about Sioned/Eileen/Angela. I think putting Eileen in a coma is just way to drag the story out, its not a natural consequence of an argument with her daughters. Write about something genuinely dramatic.

I haven't watched it for ages. What is Ed up to? Is he nice now?

I have not seen Ed for a month. He disappeared a week after Christmas.

Did he look good in his rugby kit? I missed all of that storyline.

Yes the best thing about that storyline. I would not object to more Ed in next to nothing. Far too little of that

You haven't missed much.. last big storyline was Moc. I wish they would just finish that one already... that is actually interesting.

Yeh surely Moc has to come back at some point? Anita needs something to do other than play on a laptop! Does she work anywhere now? I can't remember...

It is completely inexplicable to me why everyone is OK with Moc being on beach somewhere in Thailand raping little boys. Completely abnormal for that to be the attitude of an entire village. I don't care about the petty stuff Gethin does- he's angry which is somewhat justified under the circumstances.

Moc gave Anta the lease to the bank building. I guess she makes a living from that. There was supposed to be a community enterprise project, but did everyone leave? Half the old sets are empty we've lost so many characters. No-one lives in the salon flat and the bank building is mostly empty.
