I agree, of all the rape stories that was the most unbelievable and contrived. Wish they had Scott or Moc go to jail instead, but maybe it cause some soul searching among some other characters, for example Sion.

Worst decision ever by the writers. The storyline would have worked much better if Sheryl had been a willing partner and the affair coming out at the wedding. Sheryl and Garry would have finished anyway, and so would Kevin and Debbi.

I agree, completely unnecessary in the middle of their Moc storyline to add in yet another rape. Your version of events is much better. Moc should have been caught as well. Maybe they need a way to put Wil in danger, but they could have found another way to end the Moc storyline.

But alas they wrote it so I suppose this is how it must end.

I do have to agree on the downfall of quality on this show. I remember when I first started watching a few years back, I couldn't miss an episode. Now? It's a shadow of it's former self. Have they gotten new writers or do they need new writers?

You know one of the weirdest stories? Mark and Gemma. I just don't get why the show would pair them. It's actually kind of creepy.

They got a new "structure" in Nov. apparently. Its been bad really bad. Looks like they have just gotten scared for some reason and there goal is to be so boring that they won't offend toddlers.

There's nothing wrong with the writing per se, it's the storyliners. They are guided by Ynyr Williams, who I believe has run the show since 2009.

Considering this is PYC`s 40th year, the storylines could be much better...with a huge build up for October 16th (PYC anniversary)October 16th 2014 is also my pooch Dixie`s 3rd Birthday

They couldn't think of anything better to do, like bring in a new characters or resolve unresolved storylines.

Indeed they are. Basically the boss decides on the tone and style of storylines. The storyliners create plots based on that, and then the writers do what the storyliners ask of them.

Thanks Citadel, so do you know when these storyliners were hired? Why were they hired? As Anthony said a few years ago the storylines were can't miss and now they are crap.

Well as I say, if the boss tells the storyliners he wants inoffensive, mild storylines, then that's what the storyliners have to do. Personally I think the boss needs to go and PYC needs to grow its balls back!

My guess is that Gwyneth will be back by the anniversary. If so, then they should bring back Yvonne too. Not to have them as a couple though. Yvonne can do so much better. I`d love to have Yvonne still working for the fraud squad.
