I really like Jim, he almost always does the right thing. Good for him.
Same here. He`s my fave character in PYC.

More bad news about the PYC cuts. Also depressing insensitive comments on Welsh language television. The writers are protesting:

Was just about to post that! I agree, cretinous comments below the article by morons who have no idea what they are talking about. Of course the PYC team is angry!

Another version of the article without the cretinous (great word Citadel) comments.

Good article that one, a bit more insight as well into the actors' feelings.

No you are not. I thought Diane is in love with Dai... she barely knows DJ. Also it looks creepy.

I can`t help but wonder if this is the first move to make S4C and Clic online a pathway for monthly subscriptions.
I already pay a monthly subscription to watch Brit shows. Now I could be paying twice if the money grabbing producers have their way.

Spoiler

re: April 3rd spoiler about Kevin slinging his hook. Are the writers recycling scripts? i`m all for recycling and saving the planet, but that`s a bit much.

It is quite striking how similar all the current storylines are to ones that have been done in the last couple of years. All these storylines were done better in the past. The rape storyline that was so moving when done with Macs is so banal with Sheryl.

Well I am back to being a one soap woman. My experiment in Hollyoaks is over. Pobol Y Cwm is the only soap the really takes the time to go into these difficult subjects with the depth they deserve. These rape storylines deserve an ending. I hope this starts with Kevin. Come on writers prove to us why PYC is television worth funding.

What an idiot Sion is. He actually thinks inviting a rapist into his home would make up for what happened with Macs. Sion you know why you feel guilty? Its because you fail at admit that there were mitigating circumstances with Macs. Maybe you actually read the law and found that even the police would be required to look into those circumstances. Also you maybe you feel guilty that you ensured the freedom of a rapist. You deserve shunning just as much as Macs. I hope you get publicly exposed as a hypocrite.

Next thing you`ll know, Sion will be inviting Scott to stay with him.

I do think they will address Sion and Macs at some point though. Its not right that Meic, who loves Kevin so much and did everything he could to support him thinks what Sion did was the same thing. Everyone knows Sion sent Macs to Cardiff because he embarrassed him not because that is what the victim wanted.

Yeah, I think he has to go.
I am still disappointed with Kevin. I think that this storyline was unnecessary because they could have found a way to end one of the other rape storylines in a better way. I also would have liked to see an actual conflict with Debbie, Sheryl and Kevin over the marriage and the cafe. But that being said this PYC storyline is still hands down better than anything you would see on another soap.

I hope we are still not talking about Kevin in October for the 40th. I am glad the Sioned/ Eileen argument seems to have ended with the wedding.

Kevin should get a toecapping and then locked up in a violent offender's institution where he can be abused in the showers by a gang of Welsh Hell's Angels. I'll look after Cadno for him, don't worry about that.

I've not seen it either but it was critically acclaimed when it was released three years ago. It's about a boy (Kevin) who is the protagonist in a school massacre, and it's told from the perspective of the mother. Sounds interesting but I'm not sure it's really for me.

Ah thanks, no not sure its for me either. I try to avoid watching films about school massacres. Too depressing for me. I'll stick to the Gavin and Stacey box sets for now.

G & S couldn't be more different! I don't think it's about the massacre itself, but the impact it has on the mother and her son, who is the perpetrator.

Yeah I need my G & S! I am spending the weekend doing spreadsheets and after I finish I will watch Gavin and Stacey as my way of relaxing.
